BREAKING Reported Florida Offers Kiffin

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

This makes a lot of sense. Just didn't seem like something that would be said to any media.
He said Clay had called him and asked if he could do an interview with him. He said he had just landed in Florida and was laying out at the beach with a Corona in his hand. He said, "Clay I'll be here for the next three days if you want to fly out and we can talk as much as you want." Clay got on a plane and was there the next day. I'm sure the Corona's got some good stories to fly...

Recent quotes by Lane Kiffin on coaching, money, and etc.

"I feel like the college coaches now are more like NFL coaches where the firings happen quicker," Kiffin said. "NFL coaches, you see all the time, they get one, two years, and you're like, in college that doesn't happen... that's obviously not the case now."

"Anytime something works, other people go, 'well, let's go do that,'" Kiffin said. "It now has places accepting to pay these buyouts, which I think is ridiculous."

"I just told them, 'Hey guys, this is what happens around here because we win games and people like the style that we play,' and so that is all about a compliment to the players," Kiffin said.

"I have never made a decision based on money nor will I," Kiffin said. "I've seen too many examples in life where money does not buy happiness."
Has Lane grown a brain???

Could be he's actually maturing a bit. He is 50 years old now. So it's about time he grew up.

It’s hard to believe but he’s actually still 3 years younger than what CNS’s age was when he won his 1st NC at LSU in 2003.

Lane for sure doesn’t take as many risks in games anymore so it seems like he’s had some growth on the field at least.

If he would make some changes on the defensive side of the ball I could see him winning a couple SEC Championships at Ole Miss and getting them into the playoffs semi routinely.

He might could do it at Fla or LSU too but it seems like an unnecessary move and rebuild imo.

He’s grown a lot in the last decade. I’ve still not gotten over what he did to that 2016 team, which was the greatest defense I ever saw (yes better than 2011 and 1992).

Still I can appreciate his maturity. I hope he remains at Ole Miss. I feel like his chance of ultimate success is greater there than LSU or Florida, despite the difference in resources available.
