There's a formula that shows a correlation between the Redskins final home game before Election Day, and the election itself.

Here's it in a nutshell:
If the Redskins win, the incumbent stays in office.
If they lose, the challenger takes over.
This has been 17 of 18 (or 18 of 18, as the lone exception was when Bush lost the popular vote, but took office).
So while Democrats will be cheering on RGIII, unfortunately Republicans will have to cheer for Cam Newton... as Nov 4 is a home game against the Carolina Panthers.
