According to CNS today, there is no "depth chart" right now. In fact, I will be shocked if at least 2-3 of them don't end up being "returning starters." That's a good thing IMO.

Folks, there should not be much pre-season complaining about the O. The line should be experienced in both game play and teamwork. The receiving corps even more reliable with hopes of TP dancing in our heads. Oh yeah, there is that kid JPW who only set single season records this year with the same returning receivers. Uh, Mitch who and what's his name at Florida. I almost forgot about the horse power in the back field probably being led by Johns. I am starting to get that manly excited feeling so I better stop. Can we start the 2007 season on Jan 9?

I'm not sure about the names, I friend told me about the JUCO.

Come to think of it didn't Rashad Johnson pass Carter in the depth chart this year until he got hurt?

I just don't think Carter is a good FS.

The JUCO safety you are speaking of is Michael Ricks. It depends on which day of the week it is as to whether he is coming to Alabama or not. One day he is comitted to Alabama, the next he's not.

I would think that at least 5 of the offensive starters would be in the starting lineup to begin the season. Those being:

Don't forget Prothro is still around, I don't know how much impact he'll have, but it sure would be nice to see him beat the odds and come back rollin'.

The way those "in the know" have been talking, Prothro may be seeking a medical redshirt year.

correct, the kid still walks to this day with a very, VERY noticeable limp. 20008 season is looking a lot better than 2007 season.

and on capps: i wouldnt be suprised one bit if he already took his last snap for UA. taylor pharr turned a lot heads during the season while he was redshirting, so even though he would be a redhsirt freshman compared to capps being a senior this fall, i dont think the year(freshman, soph, jr, senior, etc.) means anything to the new coaches they just want talent out there on the field competing.

... you may be right, but i wouldn't count him out yet - he obviously had trouble with what they were trying to get him to do previous years, but, who knows, the guy may excel with a new regime

... sure hope so, because senior leadership will be even more valuable in 2007 to help with the transition

He did. Johnson hurt a hamstring I beleive. He has good speed.

I think '05 would have had to be his injury redshirt year, but he'd played in too many quarters. The extra RS year is very hard to come by and it's at the discretion of the NCAA. Need I say more?

Talking about Pro's status his ankle is still the size of a co ze can. I love the guy and all and what an athlete he was but....sorry guys

And Capps situation: I am definatly interest to see where Saban goes with him! He'll definatly hear some words of wisdom from CNS for sure
