There are a number of mRNA vaccine based therapies being developed in oncology... There is quite a bit of concern that they will be shut down and most of them can't be replicated with other technologies.

Aside from the possibilities in oncology... mRNA opens up some very interesting possibilities in vaccines for infectious disease too. Kennedy's vaccine he is touting as the "gold standard" is basically ancient technology that has pretty much been fully mined.
Kennedy is just the type that trump wanted in his cabinet and as an advisor, an unqualified and/or dangerous jerk. That is what this administration has become. Why anybody with a grain of sense doesn't see this is beyond me.
