As a JSU undergraduate and Alabama graduate, this fired me up. And, if I'm being honest, made me cry a little.

Rick Bragg is a Southern treasure. Go Gamecocks, Blow Southerners, and ROLL TIDE.

Thanks for posting this. I found the following particularly hilarious...

My middle stepson, Caleb, is a Tennessee fan, so I have kept him hidden until now. He insists on wearing that awful color, better suited for deer hunting, forcing me to say something mean about Peyton Manning just to see him hop like an agitated, orange squirrel.

Great piece! I can certainly relate to what he is saying. Thats how I came up on Alabama football. Where you couldn't wait for the sunday paper to come to read about Bama's win and get all the stats. Roll Tide
