I realize that he is no doubt the best there is and a first rounder, but i mean who is to say he will not blow his knee out the first game of his pro career and never play again. I mean yeah he will still have the big paycheck, but how could he be happy. Football is a dangerous sport and people get hurt all the time. It is the chance you take when you sign up to play. I think that coming back and winning another championship is worth a lot more than getting drafted and going to a team like the lions or the the rams. He will not make a big difference on a team like that. They will still lose 75%- 90% of the games his first couple seasons. I know I would much rather win me another SEC and National championship.

You keep talking about Sam Bradford, look and Tim Tebow, as bad as I hate him, He decided to come back had a great year. Heisman candidate, played in an SEC championship game, very well could have played in another National Championship. He didn't hurt his draft status any. If anything he helped it.

I Don't blame him for going id he goes. I don't know if I could turn down millions. But I think he does still have something to play for in alabama. He can help them get #14... Who wouldn't want to be apart of that????
Three points......

1. Sam Bradford will still be a number 1 pick for some team, even though he came back
2. Tebow was not going to be a 1st Round pick last year either......so it was good for him to come back
3. If he blows out his knee.....better to blow it out as a player on the Lions or Browns then here.....at least he'll be getting a sizable paycheck.

He's a class act.......and will definitely be a legend........in the class of the legendary linebackers before him, that's for sure!

Well there is a difference between Ro and Sam. Sam had no choice since he was a sophomore, but I do agree with the point you are putting out there.
Incorrect. Bradford was eligible to go pro, but decided to return to the Sooners for the 2009 season.

After the SECCG I was hoping he would stay. But now I'm saying he needs to go. It just feels right. It's like the feeling a mother bird has when she's realized her little ones are ready to take flight. Rolando, go forth and conquer.

Let me preface by saying that I hope McClain stays for his senior season.

BUT

I have no hard feelings towards Ro if he decides to go pro. He's been a fantastic player for us at the linebacker position (greatest since D. Thomas??) and deserves to have his paycheck and time in the league. He's done everything at the college level (Butkus award, national championship) except for winning the Heisman himself and honestly has little left to prove.

Todd McShay (ESPN's draft guy other than Kiper) has ranked him the #1 linebacker in the draft as well as the #6 overall player. I say the time is right for him to jump.

As I've heard Coach Saban say, I'd rather have an incredible player for 3 years than a mediocre player for 5 years. We are soon to be a NFL talent machine and will be that much more attractive to recruits.

Times are GOOD! :BigA::BigA::BigA:
I agree. I hope he stays for my selfish reasons, but he will be a very high draft pick, and that will allow him to become financially secure for his entire life if he can manage money at all. He seems like a pretty smart guy, so I don't see how he can say no to this opportunity.

Actually I think the rule just says 3 years out of high school which obviously would include red shirt sophomores.
Correct. Three years removed from high school. True freshman Kerry Murphy went to one year at Hargrave Prep and then was out of football for a year. He is a true freshman and is eligible to enter the draft if he so desires.

Also I agree with the majority and I believe it will happen. Ro is an amazing player and person and will represent us well next year in the NFL. We love ya #25.
