We all know that we can't win without a healthy Ronald Steele. So why not bench him until the tournament? You can't get healthy by playing injured. Why are we playing a hobbling Ronald Steele? I just don't get it.

are you serious? he would be so "rusty" and out of shape it wouldnt be funny. yes he needs more rest, but coach G has said it in almost every (if not every one) press conference to the media saying it is an injury that needs rest AND work to heal it. he cant just sit around for a couple months and then be 100% come march. and another thing last thing i checked when we play without ronald steele the team isnt nearly as good as it with him in the game. sorry if i came out mad or anger, because thats not my intentions.

they've said in the past that when they held him out that they thought it actually was counterproductive... however, i do think a one or two game rest would be good.

I would not mind sitting him the UGA game and letting Hollinger get expirence playing big minutes as the leader on the floor. If we can get Ron healthy we will not get blown out on the road any more.

A good one.
Everything I've read and everything CMG has stated indicates that sitting Ron for a long time would be pointless. CMG has stated repeatedly that Ron's condition would not improve by holding him out for an extended period of time. We need to start accepting the fact that Ron is likely going to be playing injured for the rest of the season.

If I were you I would be more concerned for him not going pro.
At least from what we've seen of RS so far this year, I hope he does not give turning pro serious consideration. He's not been 100% the entire year. Last year he had back problems all year. I am sure NBA teams are going to have questions concerning his durability and the NBA season is much longer and grueling than the college season.

Don't get me wrong, I am a HUGE Ronald Steele fan. When he is healthy, I would not trade him for another player in college basketball. Still, he is playing hurt and look how he took the game over at the very end against Georgia today. He is outstanding, but unless something dramatic happens, he should not turn pro after the season ends. Now if he had been healthy all year, I feel confident he would easily be a lottery pick. If this were the case, who could blame him for leaving early.

Ron Steele is a very smart young man. I understand his father will be very involved in his decision on whether to turn pro at the end of the season. I really think they will make the right choice.

We saw today why Ron Steele is the best pg in the country, healthy or not. Folks this young man is a warrior and i doubt he'd wanna sit. This team is overcoming some adversity not only on the court but in life as well. A poster on bamaonline said earlier that when we play with intensity for 40 minutes, we'll DESTROY PEOPLE. i COULDN'T AGREE MORE. i NEVER WANT to hear people again say that we're soft or not tough(directed to a certain know it all on Tider Insider). Our backs were 2 the wall and maybe this will be the kickstart we need. But a great, gutty comeback and Steele made 2 incredible shots.
