That is just part of being on rival boards. We all think the team we pull for is the right team to pull for. You guys have been through rough times. There is a good chance we are about to go through some. Stick with them through thick and thin. Most of us grew up cheering for the team we pull for and wouldn't have it any other way.

Funny story, many of you may be able to relate. I work with a guy that is a Bama grad and a hard core Bama fan inside and out. He tells a story of when him and his wife began dating, she was a Auburn fan. He told her that she either pulls for Bama or they will not be together. Well, a couple of kids and a few years later they are still together and seem to have a good relationship. It is passion like that, that makes college football so much fun. That is also one reason that makes it difficult to sit and read rival boards. The fans love for the game is what makes it so AWESOME!

I also cannot wait until football starts, but that is true every year around this time. If Tiger played golf every week I would be able to make it easier. Wait, it I was able to play golf everyday it would be easier as well

Anyway, enough off topic. I will quit rambling

UT is already in the midst of hard times - 2 losing seasons in the last 4, a tumultuous period with a once successful coach who had to be fired, then a clown hired, thus the prospect of more trouble on the way. In Bama's wilderness days, there were 3 losing reg seasons in the 10 years, but at least they included an SECC and 3 10 win seasons. Eventually UT will likely reemerge, either with this staff or another 1 or 2 - the fanbase is too good.

Perhaps at some point somebody will give ol' Roy the same treatment his buddy Logan Young got a couple of years ago. It wouldn't surprise me if this guy doesn't pi$$ off the wrong Alabama fan one of these days.

Most fans of all programs are great. It is the few bad apples in all of them that stir everything up.

I am not really sure of his actions in the past. I didn't know who he was until I started frequenting message boards a year or so ago. I have since heard his name thrown around a lot, and none of it good.

In conclusion, as in the Logan Young days, I'm absolutely convinced that certain Bama boosters, one in Huntsville and two in East Tennessee, according to believable rumors, are, indeed, trying to get a foothold in Memphis. The runner has openly bragged to the Melrose coaches that he controls Melrose as far as to which school their players attend, IF, IF, Alabama wants them. This has upset several Merose alumni!

The comical aspect is that the two kids he's talking about are kids in whom Bama hasn't the slightest interest and Bama hasn't encouraged anyone to encourage them. Also, Billy really doesn't even know anyone in Memphis. It's all extant only in the alcohol-soaked brain of a senile weirdo...

The same guy my story was about said he was told by his dad:

"I will pay for you to go to Alabama for college or you can go wherever you want and pay your own way"....pretty easy decision I would think. I really don't think there was any chance of him wanting to go anywhere else.

I frequent a board that consists of just about every college football team there is. There is very little trash talking on there, just as on here.** I find that the majority of tt that goes on is when a board actively bans and/or discourages rival fans. (jmho)

We actually enjoy and welcome rival fans. The only thing we ask is that they understand and follow site policies. It's sort of like good manners when you're in someone else's home. However, if a person has never been taught, understood, nor had to follow a course of good manners, then we're not going to be able to educate him here. His parents simply fell down on the job...

Roy took things too far long ago and is still in the process of taking it further.
Seems I recall that Johnny Majors, when in control at UT, disassociated Adams from the program.

My perception of the thing is(just my opinion)= they played the same games,
Young outplayed Adams,
the friendship ended because of the competition,
Young continued to outplay Adams,
being outplayed in Memphis was more than Adams could take.
So Adams changed the rules of their game,
he spent "more than a decade",
spent "millions of dollars" (which he has)[that is really what their game was about]
Some of the millions going to Government officials, NCAA investigators, Tennesse FBI, Memphis Police.
Adams money has corrupted more than just football recruits.

Before the Bama punishment by the NCAA,
I heard Adams on FineBOMB,
He said the happiest day of his life was the day he gave Memphiis police evidience that led to the arrest of Young's son.
I'm sure his happiest day changed when Bama got hammered.

I'm really surprised that Milton Kirk is still alive.

What is wrong with college football?
People like Adams, Young, and Corky Frost getting involved!
