Ok, I know we lost the game, and that really sucks. But, all I can say is the LSU fans, tailgaters, etc were the most warm, friendly people I've ever been around. I got to BR around 10:00 and by 10:45 I had a Bloody Mary in 1 hand. Wandering around through all the tail gating, motor homes, etc. everyone was so friendly. I was even invited into people's homes for Venison and sausage. Between the beer and vodka, I probably had 8 drinks before the game.

Sure, they were giving me S for being in my 'Bama shirt and hat, but I was giving it back too. It was all very friendly and nice.

Me and the wife had a great time also. Friends invited us into the Maravich Center and we had a snack and watched the early game until the band come in to perform prior to the game.

We sat in the south end zone and had lots of friendly ribbing from LSU fans but nothing we would not have done at a Bama home game.

I love the LSU road trips; just wish we could have came out a winner.

I have been to Baton Rouge many times and this was by far the BEST trip. Everyone was very nice and we had a great time tailgaiting with all of them. We sat in the South Endzone as well around some pretty good fans. Just wish we had won, but it was a FUN trip.

Glad to hear y'all had a great time. I can say that having gone to most of the SEC stadiums for LSU road trips, the Bama trip has always been my favorite. We have been treated the best there and to be frank the comparison to other trips is not even close! And we almost always sit in lower bowl Bama sections for the game.

I have always said how much I like LSU fans. Every fanbase has its retards, but my interactions with LSU fans has always been overwhelmingly good-natured, hospitable, and respectful. Of all our opposing fanbases, theirs is the one that has the most spirit and passion, IMO. They are the complete opposite of Auburn and Georgia fans. :biggrin2:

A few years back I was lucky enough to get to attend the LSU/Bama game in Tuscaloosa... it was a very good experience, and a great game to boot!
