Alabama: SEC Championship Game - Thoughts on a Bama Win

Been trying to get a read from the board this week on a Bama Victory in tomorrow's SEC Championship Game. Maybe it's me but seems the temperature here is 50/50 whether we can win it. We have a lot of injuries, literally limping into this one. I personally feel that we win it. Don't think it will be pretty and maybe not a game for the ages but one that we will ourselves to win, yet again, against the odds. Do you think we can win the SEC Championship vs Georgia?

It will be a nail biter until the end, like most of our games have been (especially if it comes down to a field goal).

My layman's view says that the game will pivot on three things... all on the Bama offense side of the ball

1) Ty Simpons's health and its effect on his accuracy. Given the nature of what he's dealing with, I don't expect much improvement from last month of games.

2) Running game continuing its improvement. Would LOVE to see us have 250 yards rushing. I'll take 150 with ball control dominance.

3) turnovers need to be 0.

I'm with you on all of that. We know Ty is a competitor. We also know that he has been the focus of defenses since mid season and you know bowl cut has something for him. Don't know how we improve the running game unless we pass to set up the run. Even then, need some O Linemen and a RB to step up bigtime. Cannot afford turnovers from our side in this game for sure!

“Can”? Yes, absolutely. “Will”? Right now, I’m feeling a 7-10pt edge to Georgia. Interesting though that the betting sharps are leaning heavily toward a dominating Bama win.

Both teams have key injuries, especially on offense. I see this being a low-scoring game. But I like our defense's ability to create turnovers. That will be the difference.

Could see it coming down to which QB has the most success running the ball, both teams need a spark in the run game and both QBs can be effective

A few things:

1. Alabama must turn Georgia over. It’s happened multiple times in each victory. I expect nothing different

2. Running game has to be effective. We won’t get a legendary performance but we gotta keep the chains moving and not put everything solely on Ty to make something happen

3. Kirby will be Kirby. He can’t seem to get out of his head when facing Bama. I expect him to revert to something boneheaded and have to deal with the Georgia media/fanbase

4. It makes NO SENSE TO PLAY THIS GAME!
