For tonight, I expect LSU to show up and win. I wonder which UGA team will show up? They are the better team and should win.


Other than those...honestly UF is a concern for me. I hope the players are motivated to play in a mediocre bowl game.

We have some pretty good matches coming up (yes including Florida and the Pirates of East Carolina) but I am going with the SEC teams all the way.

Sure anything can happen (as we all know!) but for now color me optimistic....

Yea, I always pull for our conference and stayed up late watching the hogs last night. I look for us to go 1-1 today, probably winless tomorrow and 3-0 New Years Day. I don't see us getting another win until the National Championship Game.

nope. Can't do it. I'll be perfectly happy with the SEC being 12-1 with the boogs losing and Bama with another national title.

UGA's bowl history simply doesn't fill me with much hope:


2013 - lost to a Nebraska team they should have beaten
2011 - lost to a Michigan St team they were clearly better than but played poorly
2010 - lost to a UCF team they should not have had much problem with (please - it's UCF!)
2005 - huge favorites over WVA and fall so far behind they can't catch up
2004 - barely beat a Wisconsin team they should have handled easily
2001 - somehow lost to Boston College

Not under Richt anyway.

Oh and UGA also became the first SEC team to lose to Boise State.....


so I expect a choke-a-roo again.

I just love going to the other conferences and talking about undefeated SEC in bowl games. Much rather do that than talk about 11-2 SEC record.

With only 4 spots in the playoffs the perception of your conference is very important. Next year we play Wisconsin out of conference and no one else. If as some would have it we get Tn. and Auburn to go 0-12 we would not sniff a birth. Not sure if we can hang our hat on Wisconsin getting us to the playoffs if the SEC stinks.

I don't root for UT/AUB or many other SEC schools. I do, however, root wholeheartedly for the SEC and I just turn a blind eye if it's UT or AU that wins. Semantics, I know, but that's how I roll.

The only flat out loss I see is UM/TCU. IMHO, TCU is clearly the better team. I would love to see TCU & Baylor both lose, though.

No knock on these SEC teams but concerned about these games:

Belk Bowl: UGA v. UL – I agree that you just never know what UGA team will show up. A win for Lousiville against UGA would be a good SEC win for their program

Peach Bowl: Ole Miss v. TCU – Not happy about this matchup, would rather they both lose (just saying)

Orange Bowl: MSU v. GT – Thinking MSU will throttle them but looking at GT the same way I'm looking at the Lousiville/UGA matchup.

Outback Bowl: Auburn v. Wisky – Wisky has a solid D but how they played against OSU I seriously doubt they will be able to stop the Barns running game.

Birmingham Bowl: UF v. ECU – Just not seeing them beat ECU unfortunately ... looks like UF vs Louisville all over again.

Thinking we will possibly lose 2 of the final SEC matchups left.
