Great place to eat. Your sources have impeccable taste. If you want to lose. According to my sources, it's 50/50 that the meeting is at Green Top. If not there, it'll be across the road at Wesley's.
Ouch, that'll leave a mark. No pun intended.I think NCSU would be a good eastern partner with
aTm. I would think NCSU would be tired of being 4th
in it's state. They aren't particularly good or bad at any
sports. I am sure the basketball coaches would love to
have CMG back to beat up on.
You don't have to skip a state, VA borders both KY and TN....I want to point one thing out. UVA and VA Tech are not as closely tied as many think. For the vast majority of their rivalry, they existed in seperate conferences, and the powers that be here had no real issue with that. Va Tech would come only if they could keep the game with UVA, like USCe and Clemson, FSU and Florida. It would leave (theoretically) Oklahoma, Missouri, North Carolina, Duke, Virginia Tech, and Virginia on the table.
Personally, I don't care for adding Virginia / Virginia Tech, for two reasons. First, they'll almost certainly come as a pair. I would prefer Va Tech only if we took either of them. Second, if we take both to take one, then that leaves out the two North Carolina schools. I don't like skipping a state.
Personally, I'd prefer to add:
Missouri
North Carolina
Duke
My second choice would be:
Oklahoma
North Carolina
Duke
Compromise to the fears and pettiness of UF, UGA, and USCe!What does Louisville bring to the table? I would be very disappointed in that addition.
Basketball, baseball, ad not much else. Charlie Strong is trying to build the Program, they have a new stadium (Papa Johns, about 60,000). I can't see it happening...but you never know. What does Louisville bring to the table? I would be very disappointed in that addition.
A search of flight plans from all airports SEC schools would use show ATL as the only common destination city. TIFWIW.AJC seems to think that it is in Hotlanta! And Louisville may be the 14th target.
Big 12 tries to keep A&M as SEC considers adding
Well, they don't seem to think they will have a problem. So I guess Kentucky and their basketball team get no say in this...
The TexAgs folks have some pictures from Hartsfield on one of the threads. It appears the meeting's over, and "Goodbye to Texas University" has a new meaning.Any idea when the meeting might be over and when word will leak out, if any?
Miami? Please, please, please, please no, no, no!!!A search of flight plans from all airports SEC schools would use show ATL as the only common destination city. TIFWIW.
Also, DS claims to have prioritized list of 14th addition to SEC.
@DannySheridan1 Danny Sheridan
If SEC presidents invite, and aTm accepts, next SEC wish list in order: FSU, Clemson, Miami, Oklahoma, & Virginia Tech.
I almost posted Louisville in my earlier post about taking a basketball oriented school from the east...they have mid-major football program and good basketball program and great bb rival for UK; Probably not at at the very top of the list but it wouldn't surprise me if they're on it...AJC seems to think that it is in Hotlanta! And Louisville may be the 14th target.
