How do you think other teams around the conference are going to feel about this hire? Will anyone lose sleep over Rod, or will he be seen as just another coach in the beginning?

They'll ridicule his offense and question whether we have the talent to run it. Kind of like whistling past the graveyard. ;)

Well, RR's offense embarassed a good Georgia team last year. We have better personnel than he had at WVU and I fully expect us to score double digits every game. lol

They'll probably carry on about how the spread-option will not work in the SEC because the defenses are so good ;)

Yeah, like the Georgia defense was against WVU last year in the Sugar Bowl. All our close games this past year will be wins next year, and we will pick up a few more wins!! FEAR THE ROD!!

Sounds like us talking about Meyer last year...

talking to a UF fan at work he pointed that out. How last year everybody was talking how the spread option would not work in the SEC. Funny how playig for all the marbles with a few freshmen on the field and a "Pocket Passer" running the spread option can change peoples mind. JEEZ is it spring training yet? couldn't wait for this past season to end now I can't wait till next season....heck...spring training is right around the corner.

Hopefully he brings in a new attitude to some of the players that were slacking in the weight room last year. One thing Urban Meyer did say that i buy into whole heartedly was that "You have to be tough to win on the road in the SEC" well guys I think it is fixing to get a lot tougher to play at Bama and I think it is fixing to get alot tougher to play at home when Bama comes a calling.

I will say from what I've heard they are not too happy...........One reason is they(all other fans) loved MS b/c they knew he was no threat to them!:redface:However, now they are very uncomfortable b/c RR destroyed UGA's D in last years Bowl game! Also,RR WV had no D to be worried about, but they know bama has D, so now the worries begin! To be honest, from what I thought were real possibilities RR was my 1st choice ie (read homer Smiths comments)I would have loved to have SOS,but just knew In my heart he is not ready to leave SC.That said,RR is on the cutting edge on Offense and with a good D added to his scheme's we could be a force in the SEC again!
