As the season nears it's dramatic conclusion, the Playoff field is starting to separate itself from the rest of the pack. Unfortunately, that doesn't always mean the teams gathering in the Playoff Tree House are always going to get along. The Big Ten and the SEC face off to see who will get the most teams in.

I struggle to think of an argument to expand the playoffs to 16 that would not also work for expanding it to 32.

TW, I know you're not advocating for 16 teams. I'm just playing off the logic of those that do.

If we're going to 32 teams, why not just expand to 128 teams? It's only two more chances for TV money. Of course I meant two more rounds. Plus, everybody gets a trophy.

Much better than the last few. I like the Army sniper. it just irritates me that ND can get in without having to play a championship game. (reason #113 to drop the SECCG). If we don't get the championship bye, I would love to travel to South Bend and go mid-evil crusader on them.

I've seen projections where Alabama plays at Notre Dame first round of the playoffs. There's snow on the ground in Indiana.
