What's your favorite Senior Bowl memory? I have 2

One was getting my picture taken with Brandon Bullsworth from Arkansas. He was the stud OL who wore nerdy glasses while he played. The nicest guy I've ever met, and he took the picture with his glasses on. Sadly he was killed in a car wreck coming home from the game.

Another was when I was young (maybe 8) Coach Mike Dikta was smoking a cigar on the practice field and he threw it down. I went to pick it up and he grabbed my neck and told me not to touch that disgusting thing and to never put one in my mouth. He gave me his autograph instead. When Dikta turned to walk away, I picked up the cigar butt and put it in my pocket. It still sits in our garage wrapped in a ziplock.

Remember when anyone could walk up to the players during practices? What a great event.

Mean Joe Green

I went to a Senior Bowl practice at UMS-Wright back in 1992. I noticed Mean Joe Green was sitting in the stands a few rows behind me. I went up to him and introduced myself (I was a freshman at South Alabama). He was very nice and even asked me questions about what I was studying in school and stuff. It was cool.

The first time that Joe Namath threw a td pass as...

a pro was at the 1965 Senior Bowl, to "Bullet Bob Hayes". Unfortunately, that was all the scoring that day in 7-7 game. Even more unfortunate I was getting a coke at the time and missed the play entirely!!!
