he was one of my favorites. we were late getting to Live Bait in Gulf Shores for the game that Shaud went 80 yards on the first play. I have always thought that he was one of our better backs....I also think that the Bills didn't give him much of a chance after his breakout year.....

I thought he left Texas Tech because he knew he wouldn't get to run the ball very much...
Pretty sure this is it. Texas Tech hasn't been a running school in a long, long time and Shaud was set to get maybe 60 carries a year over there. I think he may also have been a backup to Ricky Williams while he was there and that probably played into it as well.

Yes he came from Texas Tech. I think Sonny Dykes (?) was the coach and when he left he transferred to Bama. I think I could be wrong on the coaches name though.

So Herb, what's your affiliation with Southern Pigskin? You sure you are a BAMA fan? I can see you joined other SEC sites as Herb Brooks to post this stuff there.

I saw the title post and thought this was about Bruno's interview with Shaud.

Funniest Bruno bit ever, and Shaud acquitted himself quite well.

If he is what you think he is, I doubt he would read the threads after posting.

He would not have been a back up to Ricky Williams. Ricky played at Texas, not Texas Tech.

I've been saying for awhile that he only posts links from that website. The only difference with this thread is he didn't post "good article" or "good __" in the OP.

:redface: I was thinking of the other one.:redface:
Yeah, I thought about that when I posted it. I was waiting for someone to say something, I had the link ready ;)

He was on an SI cover about a decade ago with the headline "No the other Ricky." There was a lot of confusion back then, especially when Tech play UT.
