Question: Should Notre Dame join a conference?

The should have already joined the big headed 11. This would make a conference championship game more easily worked out. If the Big 10 and the Pac 10 won't adopt a Conference championship game then they should be excluded from BCS play.

I couldn't agree more. The question is, what would they call the Big 10 since there is already a Big 12? The Big Midwest 12?

For their own sake? Probably not.

For the sake of common sense and the fact that having an independent team just seems plain silly when everyone else has to compete in conferences? Most definitely.

Yes, Big 10 and then change the name. That way, we can have one more conference that has a championship game to worry about.

Of course, I would also like to see Utah and BYU join the PAC-10 and that conference have a championship game as well. But few people listen to me and even fewer agree.

No. They have ten teams which makes nine conference games and three non-conference games.
