they never have been consistent with where they put teams. why start this year?We just need to beat Auburn, for a lot of reasons, including it is fun to beat them down. If we do, we just might get in. I would say very likely if the committee is truly objective. They've had some head-scratching rankings this year where they are not consistent on where they put teams.
LSU, OSU and Oregon. Those three win and it will be really hard to keep us out. Obviously, anything can happen with the committee - and I do believe there's some serious Bama fatigue going on - so we'll have to hold our breath and cross our fingers. We need LSU and the tOSU to hold serve. That takes out UGA and Minn. if either of those win their CG they will be four. If they both win UGA will get the nod due to their wins though Minn. would have nice top 10 wins too.
If OU and Utah win and go to 12-1 I’d say they jump Bama this time due to these sorry donkey SEC teams sucking so bad thanks Miss. St., OM, Arky, and Tenn and USCe oh and Duke.
Utah has a yucky loss to USC so I like our chances best against them in the 11-1 to 12-1 comparison.
Guess we’ll just have to wait and see but we have ENOUGH to worry about and overcome Saturday!
I agree...it's better to just keep it simple. Those three are in if they win out and it eliminates many other 1 loss teams. The less 1 loss teams the better for us, IMO.I keep seeing people (on Facebook not on here) wanting Ohio St, Clemson or LSU to lose so it will help Alabama’s playoff chances. That is the last thing Alabama needs is another one loss team. They need those three teams to win out, Oklahoma St to win next week and Oklahoma to win the Big 12 championship against Baylor and Oregon to win the PAC 12 championship against Utah. Then Alabama will be the only one loss team left (assuming they beat Auburn). If this happens it doesn’t matter if the Iron Bowl is a blowout.

See, I'd feel much better about Championship weekend if LSU and tOSU lose this weekend. That means all participants have one loss.....that means 2 of the 4 have 2 losses when it's over.I agree...it's better to just keep it simple. Concerning a Clemson loss, I know their week schedule should be a big issue, but I'd rather us not be compared to them, especially with the loss of Tua, as a 1 loss team.
We take care of business this weekend and the CFPC will agree we are the best one loss team.
IDK, I still think an undefeated LSU beating down UGA is our best argument. We don't have any big, quality wins, but that 1 loss is the best in the country if they stay perfect.See, I'd feel much better about Championship weekend if LSU and tOSU lose this weekend. Thin out the herd..... if UGA beats LSU or insanity kicks in and Minnesota upsets tOSU during Championship week, we have no chance.... but if they all have one loss - that opens up the door for us big time.....
So, I'm pulling for Meeshigan and A&M this weekend.... probably won't happen, but I'll be rooting hard for both of the dogs in those games.
Don't hold back; tell me how you REALLY feel, Basket Case......Heather Dinich is a click-baiting, water-carrying, sycophant for any team or conference she thinks has the remotest chance of limiting or eliminating the SEC. Double that if the team in question is Alabama, and/or the other conference is the ACC.
I pay as much attention to her as I do to Goodman in the Birmingham News, or to anything from Tim Brando -- none.
Did I say that I have no respect for her opinions?
IF we win, total chaos doesn't hurt us at all....IDK, I still think an undefeated LSU beating down UGA is our best argument. We don't have any big, quality wins, but that 1 loss is the best in the country if they stay perfect.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see em all lose (especially LSU) but I just think the 3 no loss teams is our best path in as the best 1 loss team. But hey, if it happens another way and we get in it really doesn't matter.
Don’t really know how it would affect us, but, I would love to see the Aggies beat LSU, then LSU beat Georgia!IF we win, total chaos doesn't hurt us at all....
In fact we could find our way up to 2nd or 3rd.....
You've had a good year but scraped by too many mediocre teams but if Alabama and UGA lose you have as good a shot as anyone - IMO, assuming you win out, you would deserve to be the 4th team.I don't see the Sooners getting in. Most around here are resigned to not making it.
If y’all win out I see y’all jumping us even if we beat AU. They say they value conference championships and this would be a perfect chance to use that. I would not be surprised or even upset. While I’d love being in the CFP I’d be very proud of this team for finishing and not quitting because of everything obstacle they’ve had to battle. At least it makes all these games reasons to watch more football!!![emoji1303]I don't see the Sooners getting in. Most around here are resigned to not making it.
That just seems unreasonable to me, no matter how happy it would make me. The one-loss Tide currently sits at No. 5, and if one-loss Georgia loses, it's an almost sure thing Bama will move up to four. One-loss Oklahoma is at No. 7 behind both Bama and Utah.If y’all win out I see y’all jumping us even if we beat AU.
