I would love to see a retractable roof if they are going to enclose the south endzone. I am being serious. Get rid of those overhangs on the east and west decks and just enclose BDS. The roof would remain closed during those hot afternoon games and open for night games, unless it rains. Just a thought.
And while we're at it I'd like some type of dinosaur zoo that features a T. Rex doing a high wire act.

Re: South End Zone Expansion

The issue with the cemetary is DURING construction, not after. As you can see from this photo, it required a very large area for the construction materials.
Well, that picture is misleading as they tore all that out to build the Walk of Champions...

I have a thought...has anyone been to Los Vegas?...They have this road that has a roof....thats coated in led lights on the inside. They have several computerized programed shows that it runs and it looks pretty life like. Why dont we dome BDS and then put up leds and have the game/replays show on it? Man that would be awesome and only one of its kind inside a stadium. Id prolly pass out and slober all over myself if we'd do that.It would be like a really really really really big screen tv. We put in reclining chairs where we could lean back and watch the game.....yeah I know Im nuts.

You are referring to the "Fremont Street Experience." It is quite a spectacle. But I agree with you that a "Bryant Drive Experience" would be even better.

Not all the time. Material lay down yards can be off the construction site if the site conditions require it. They could have material storage some where else on campus and just require that all materials being used arrive "just in time". They do this all the time with construction in downtown areas.

I agree. Also, there's plenty of area right across Bryant Drive in that triangular shaped parking lot that was created when 10th Street was re-routed. If they need more space, they could take up part of Tutwiler's lot.

while it would be an inconvenience for some, that looks like a good option.

You know how boring spec books are. 1000 pages of legalese.
I'd love to have it to see the finishes, special construction and things like that.....and yes, I'd read it! And I'd promise to keep it in better condition than the ones I have now! I'm glad I don't keep my real Bible the way I keep my project bibles!
