Ya gotta go with Pennington. He may not be lighting up the statistical pages for passing, but he is leading the team to wins. Sometimes attitude and leadership don't translate to the STAT column!!!!

I assume that's what will happen. I'd like to see Guillon get another chance, though. I've seen Spencer enough last year and this year to know what to expect. Guillon is still a question mark to me.

I voted for Marc

I know that Spencer has lead us to two wins but I still think that Marc is the better QB. Now if Spencer starts he will finish the game and we might win but he just hasnt looked comfortable throwing the ball. If Marc is put in as the starter the coaches just need to call the same game as they did against USM. The only benifit with Marc is that he could hit a few more passes than Spencer and I think that will be just enough to keep those thugs in orange off balance on D. BUT, I THINK the biggest factor in the game on Saturday will be OUR D vs their offense!

If I was the HC, I'd start Spencer but I'd give Marc some playing time. I'd try to give both of them enough reps this week in practice to be ready to go. But Spencer deserves to start based on his performance in the last two games.

remarks made by fullmer last night, were that with miss using so many qbs, they had a hard time setting their defense. unfortunately, we dont have a qb that can run the ball with the pass. i would like to see both qbs play, and they will probably need to against the tenn defense. if we dont have the threat or the potential to hit a few passes, they will destroy the qb. beating kentucky, and usm without their starting qb, is not the same as playing tenn at their place. we will have to pass to beat them. a good mixture would keep them off balance. i am also afraid we dont have the depth in the def line to stop their run for the whole game. ainge is a quality qb already and only a freshman. they have big fast receivers. look out madison, and robinson.

That is a good point, yes we have not yet seen enough of Marc to know what kind of qb he will be. But that is also why I want to see Spencer at qb because he is not a question mark. Right now we all know that the running game is the strength of this team and all the qb has to do is not do anything to lose the game for the team. And that is just what Spencer has done, not lose the game for the team. I think the last thing we need right now is a part of the team to be unstable or questionable. Spencer has been a rock and that is just what this team needs.

I would think he will go with Spencer but definitely have MArc ready in the wings for quick back up. Let's hope they both have a goood week of preparation.

We definitely won't beat the Vols with a one dimentional team.Whoever the qb is,he's got to throw the ball sucessfully to keep the Vols from loading up at the line of srimmage. If neither qb can do this, well,it will be a long day for us.

I voted WG because if all we is going to do is run then we could use the extra blocker.
kidding aside, if we're going to run the ball every down why not lineup mclain or a good blocker at qb. it's just wasting a man and it's not like pennington is anymore of a threat back there to throw the ball...

Spencer will start. IF it looks like our running game is not going to carry us and we have to start chunking the ball, I think we may see Marc come in if Spencer doesn't get into a good comfort level. In fact, I think I would play both QB's to give the Fat Man something to think about besides a jelly filled Krispy Creme.

I would love to see a couple of deep passes completed.

Well i voted for Marc. I think Penington has done a good job, but the viles are dead last in the SEC against the pass. We've got to be able to put the ball in the air. I know what to expect from Penington, but like most, i still don't really know what Guillon can do. He's still a mystery. Hopefully they'll both get to play, and keep Tenn's defense guessing. But we do need to air it out.
