No alcohol is sold in DBS, correct?

What really goes on though? Do a lot of people sneak flasks, etc, into the game or are things pretty strict? Curious how it compares to Beaver Stadium. I am coming down this weekend with a bunch of PSU fans (sorry) who seem to think they are all going to sneak flasks in with them (as is the norm at Beaver Stadium).

I sat near the student section before, and I saw them with small whiskey bottles and such. I saw some pouring it in their Coke cups. Alcohol is not served in the stadium. The people who go more often than me will be able to help better.

Now I don't know how we treat the visitors but it isn't too tough as a Bama fan to bring in relatively small amounts of your preferred beverage. I don't do it much these days but there is very little effort put into searching for it as far as I can tell. I have noticed however that there is very little patience for an out of control visitor within the stadium. Like the commercials say, enjoy responsibly.

One thing to watch out for before and after is that you don't walk around campus (or off campus) with an open container. Keep it in a cup and you should be fine.

OK....I guess "the frisk" when you enter is not as thorough as it is at Philadelphia Eagles games. I get to a lot of their games up here and see countless people have their concealed flasks confiscated upon entry during "the frisk". At PSU though, it is pretty loose. Sounds like DBS is more like Beaver that Lincoln Financial (Eagles stadium).

I went to the Arkansas game last year, and the guy said my bag/purse was too big. The size requirements for the bags you can bring in is crazy. I got a little ugly with him after he told me that. Ah well, back to the original question :).

^^(in regards to open container post above)This is what I thought going into the SJSU game. But I saw numerous people walking around with bottles, and one guy was even carrying a half full case of beers on PBB rd. right before kick off. I notice the students carrying their red cups to fill with their preferred beverage but noticed quite a few others who didn't seem to care about an open container law. I will adjust accordingly next time:)

I've never seen any enforcement of the open container law in Tuscaloosa during game day. As long as you're not unruly and use some common courtesy, you should be okay. However, it wouldn't hurt to use a red cup or at least a hugger.

You can actually walk around on campus with an open container on game day. That ordinance was passed when I was a student.

As far as getting alcohol into BDS, there are two ways: sneak it in, or get a skybox or a seat in The Zone--they let you bring in alcohol on Thursdays before game days if you have those seats.

The only reason I mentioned the open container rule was that had an open beer taken from me in front of the Campus Party Store at the Tennessee game last year. I was waiting in line to buy a take in bottle with a beer in my hand. I wasn't unruly or even drunk at the time. I was pretty mad but really what could I do? I just had to live with it. At least it was half gone...

I think you have to cover the label (either with a koozie or the like), but I'm not sure.
