After OM we were giving up 30 points a game. Today, 16. That is an incredible improvement...we owe PG and the entire defense a standing ovation...they are not only playing hard...tackling well...they make in-game adjustments quickly.

The defensive line is setting the tone and the OLBs are setting the edge better. Although young, our secondary has gotten tons better at tackling and in coverage. Also they are communicating with each other on every snap.
I'm quite happily back to researching crow recipes - if anyone has a rather tasty one they're willing to share I'm all ears... 
Nick is real happy with Golding and what he has done this year. That is what he said just few minutes ago.

I liked him when he was good but the reason we don’t see him anymore is because he couldn’t follow the rules. He is probably one of the long vacation posters that I kinda miss.

One thing that was very telling of improvement was Moody coming in and there not being a huge drop off. He seemed very aware of his assignments and played fast.
I have been very critical of Golding’s coaching at the ILB spot but this was encouraging. Even when McMillion and Lee came in they played fast.

Granted, Arky is not UF...but JMoody played outstanding. I relaxed as the game went on...and you are correct about Lee and McMillion...
I know. I’ve seen y’all give a lot more chances for some folks than most of us would have. But some folks just refuse to color in the lines no matter how many vacations or warnings they get.
I really appreciate the admins and mods for making this the best Bama forum on the internet.
Anyways back to the defense
I think it has a lot to do with coaching and experience vs. learning on the fly, which was basically all of last year.
Not gonna eat crow. No need to. When the guys were in disarray (me included) there wa plenty to correct on Defense. Defense is much better. That tends to silence critics. Pleased to say...that the Tide's D is finally getting after it. Not perfect still. But perfect is impossible to attain in the new environment. In fact..Bama has about as salty a Defense as can be found out there. The injury to Harris is going to be big. The tackling has gotten massively better. Both one-on-one and gang tackling efforts. Im sure missing so many practices and an impact, but that is the improvement I have seen most clearly.
It is looking more and more like the Ole Miss game was just a weird one game thing and more and more like Kiffin did have our defensive signals.
