These teams should still be #1 and #2. Just because we lost an overtime game that could have gone either way, we shouldn't drop below other teams. This game showed how evenly matched we were.

KState almost helped to make sure that happened. We drop to 5th, but should stay ahead of Oklahoma......

I think the only thing that kept Bama from leaving the field as the winners was just a letdown on a special team. Sometimes it's just not to be. Bama is still Number 1 in my book. I'll still take them over anyone else. I said before the game if there are no turnovers or bad mistakes you can just flip a coin as to the winner. Well, LSU won the coin toss. Congrats to them (as much as I don't like it). Now, let's give Bama our support for the next three regular season games (and still a chance for the SEC Championship) and the Bowl game and Bama can still hold their heads high for another great season. Roll Tide, Roll!

LSU got away with saying they were undefeated in regulation. I guess we are too this year. #2 it is!

My thoughts exactly, i thought id be more devastated than i feel right now, but maybe it hasn't sunk in yet. :( I like you're line of thinking we still have a lot to play for we need to shake this off and go again. (and hope our injuries are not to bad)

Unless Bama really lets down in these next three games (unlikely), I find it difficult to believe that Bama would be denied a shot in a BCS Bowl. Really, you don't go in #2 against #1, go toe to toe, and wind up losing by a field goal in OT and find yourself on the outside looking in. Or am I wrong to believe this?

Can you believe Arkansas still controls their destiny in the SEC?
Actually rooting for Arkansas to win the rest of their games. We have the head to head with them if they win out there is a chance we could still win the West. The bad thing is it would be up to the voters since I think the BCS rankings would decide in a 3 way tie.

After watching bcs championship and seccg games - this game had more tension than any other in recent memory, I'm exhausted...

I don't trust the BCS rating/ranking system regardless if we win out. But I hope and pray that Arkansas can upset LSU. Additionally, Oregon needs to knock off Stanford. Still leaves undefeated Boise St. most likely and others I am forgetting about I am sure. Maybe I am still frustrated that we didn't execute in all phases of the game. Its history, have to focus on MSU.

Boise if they win out and play LSU will be demolished same if they played us. Shamefully they might win out and get into the BCA championship game.

So what happens if Arky beats LSU z3 way tie
Three way tie, the highest in the BCS rankings goes to the SECCG, unless there are 2 Division teams within 5 spots of each other, in which case, it would be head to head between those two.

So say we drop to 5th....Arky is 6th or 7th and they beat LSU, then you are talking about us and Arky being 3rd and 5th, maybe and LSU dropping to 8th (just making this up). Since we won head to head on Arky pigs, we go....I think.

Be careful... Utah was going to be demolished too in '08. I don't care what anyone says about Bama "not caring" in that game. Utah punched us in the mouth and by the time we decided we wanted to play, it was too late. If we play Boise, I hope we play it like it is the National Championship game, and end that conversation for good.

We don't deserve to be #2. In one of the biggest games ever we couldn't score one td.

I really don't want to see Boise. I hope they make the championship game against LSU. :)

I think your correct. If that happens, LSU will be the most penalized for losing late. We will get the nod. Assuming either Stanford or OK State lose, we might also get the nod if LSU loses in the SEC championship game. Happened with Nebraska once...
