With revenue sharing, schools are going to have to make up for a $25-30M shortfall. They will have to increase revenue and/or reduce costs. Some of the $$ schools reinvest in facility upgrades, nutrition, tutors, etc is going to be cut. The money will go straight into the athletes hands.
I was expecting a huge increase in TP this year and surpisingly it only went up $200 ($2,000 vs $2,000) from last year. The only reason I kept them is I do like the home schedule ( I have family from WI and I want to smoke one more cigar in BD). I will not be keeping them for the long term. I have had tickets for 20 years, (started with Shula) and drove down and back from Memphis for every game for the first 15 years. Not doing it anymore. I'd rather watch on TV and not make the 8 hour round trip.
It's bad enough, as a fan, I am asked/required to "donate" money to a college kid that will make more money than me, but to pass some it on to the students is a whole other thing. If you are a non athlete you will be paying the student athletes.
This is not sustainable and they ar ruining college football.
