I disagree with the play calling, or maybe it was Fromms recognition. Texas came with a run blitz or 9-10 in the box on very first down, and they didn’t adjust until the 4th quarter,. Game over by then.
Interesting. My son and I were talking about whether Chaney would be a fall guy for this debacle. My point was similar to yours. Early in the game Chaney never tried to loosen up that stacked run defense with passes on the early downs. By the time they started, Fromm was so shell shocked from hits he had taken on third & long blitzes, he struggled with being remotely accurate.
You may be a “run first team” but if the other guy is stacking it to stop you, you better find other answers quickly.

Fromm really had a bad game, was similar to the outing against LSU ... was just interesting. I kept missing hearing it during the telecast, was it UGA that had issues motivating the team for this game so much so they benched starters during practice?

That’s what was said during the broadcast. Evidently they had problems in the early practices with attitudes to the extend they had to sit down some starters.

I end tonight lamenting that since firing Mark Richt, UGA has had two of the most Richt-like season-ending games I've seen since... well... when they fired Richt! Either coming up juuuust short at the end and then getting absolutely boat-raced on national TV.

And once again we see the result of what happens when a team feels like they 'deserve' to be somewhere but aren't. It's happened to us twice and will probably happen again one day.

CKS probably put that out there so they had an excuse for losing. Also you should keep your mouth shut about being in the playoff's until after you win your bowl game not before.

I believe it means coaches and players for Texas put a lot more time into researching and preparing for their opponent. The fact players were tweeting about how they should be in the playoffs shows that. I believe CNS and Dabo would have really brought down the hammer and put the players in that wanted to win the game In front of them.

I thought CKS would adjust at half time, evidently he thought his power at running back would wear Texas down by the 4th qtr. When Kirby saw Fromm was having a bad night he should have pulled him. It sure is easier being an arm chair QB

Kirby doesn’t understand the word “adjust”.

Georgia helps Alabama with this loss. Saban will use it to make sure that his players are locked in on Clemson. No matter how good you are, it is your play on the field that decides games. And more than anything else, your preparation decides how you will play on game day.

This season has been all about Alabama from day one. Just finish.

They had to sit down so they’d have time to tweet about how bad OU and ND were and how they should have been in the playoffs instead.
Karma is a nasty female dog - I love it.
