Supporting Your Team's Sponsor

  • Hi Guest, we are working on updating the site servers and software. We're also 'forcing' everyone to read and agree to our site privacy policy and terms of service. There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for supporting the site and being an active participant!

Do you buy a lot of Nike stuff? I used to use Under Armor, until they starting sponsoring Auburn. Now most of my running stuff is Nike. Shorts socks and shirt. I really do like their " Dri Fit" stuff much better than Under Armor. Strangely I don't care for Nike shoes though. What about you, do you buy stuff supporting Bama's Sponsors?

I wear and really like the Under Armour boxerjocks.

Nike have anything that good?

I have to admit that I don't really try to buy from companies that have contracts with Bama, or shun those who do business with the barn When Pepsi was a sponsor I kept drinking Coke just like I always have.

Does Patagonia, Polo or Cole Haan sponsor Alabama? If so, I've definitely done my part to support our sponsors. :D

I don't think I've ever owned anything from Under Armour. Not for any particular reason, I guess I've just never had a reason. Nike however, does make some pretty good golf pullovers, of which I have a few.

Yes!

Funny thing. Nike was a shoe company that went into clothing, Under Armor was a clothing company that started making shoes. I like the Nike clothing, and prefer the UA shoes over Nike. ( Presently I run in Pearl Izumi shoes and like them best of all).

I like their flex-fit caps...mostly because I have a large head--not that there is anything in it...--and can't usually find my size hat.

I hate Nike shoes (adidas and New Balance are better), but I do own a huge collection of Alabama t-shirts and sweatshirts made by them.

Nike shoes suck. Asics are much more comfortable running shoes. I own some of their dry fit golf shirts, but won't touch their clubs or golf balls.

I have run for the last 10 years in Asics. Great shoes.

I bought a pair of Nike to kick around in, on sale fairly cheap. Wore them 4-5 times before I gave up. Killed my feet. Guess that's why they were on sale.

I buy Nike shirts, tees, and shorts, wear Asiscs running sneakers, drink Coke products, can't get Golden Flake up here, not much of a chip eater anymore. Wear haines undershirts, wigwam socks, Polo and college concepts boxer shorts

I have been thinking about purchasing some Nike Shox shoes. Can anyone tell me if they think this is a good purchase or would you steer me away from that buy?

much of my BAMA apparel is Nike, but that's mainly because they make better looking stuff. Not so much my desire to support them for supporting BAMA.

i hate nike shoes. some of them look ok but they absolutely stink for running. i love my Pearl Izumi shoes though. i usually buy the team issue shirt each year if it looks good. i prefer to have it in charcoal/dark gray though. i have some UA shirts that i use for athletic activities but most of their stuff is just to expensive.

I buy my boys Nike football cleats and tennis gear. I grew up during the first Nike Age so I wax a bit nostalgic for Nike's products.

wow, I feel the same way about Nike shooz, and actually run in PI's too!!! I love 'em and so far they have held up much longer than other brands that I have tried. ( I love Brooks, but they just don't hold up as long as the Pearl Izumis).

Son, ( I can call you son for short...right??:biggrin2:) read abck through these post. I think you will see a general consensus on Nike shoes. I was told by the Troy University track coach not to buyt he shocks, ( for running) because you can actually blow the shocks out. I have never seen or heard of it happening, just passing on what she told me.
