When I was driving to the Iron Bowl a few weeks back I heard a RAP version of Sweet Home Alabama. Actually ended up liking it. Does anyone know who does it?

All I'm saying is how could you tarnish this great site by mentioning that trash of a song?

Trash song? Sweet Home Alabama.

Okay. Sure its a format of music I dont like, but I actually liked this one.

Open your mind a little. When I was in the Army living in such a close area as our barracks I learned to listen to everyones music. Plus a 7 month deployment to Somalia your personal collection gets boring day after day. So you start trying new stuff to listen to. In my collection I have country, pop, rock, heavy metal, rap, r&b, classical, blues, and jazz.

If you dont like it change the channel. I wasnt telling you to listen to it, or that I thought it should be our new theme song. Just curious who performed it.

I listened to it (as much as I could stand). To be fair, it's not that bad if you like rap. Personally, I hate rap but I'll give it props, at least it doesn't advocate raping white women and killing cops. Oh well, I think I'll go listen to some Waylon and Willie to regain the equalibrium in my ears.

I guess we all should just agree to disagree. This post should sum up what this great Country is supposed to stand for.....Freedom of expression and Right to one's own opinion, something we all are entitled to on this board. Me personally, I thought it was cool.

I almost hate to admit it, but when I first heard the song about

2 months ago, I really loved it and frankly I HATE rap music because I too believe it is an oxymoron. However, this is yet another song about Alabama and I for one really like it.

It's not a slap in the face to Lynyrd Skynyrd or anyone else!
