The AA announcer on ESPN's Pardon the Interuption was just on there talking smack about Saban's return to LSU this weekend.

First he called Saban a liar about 4 times for leaving Miami and not admitting to the stupid press about his interest in the Bama job. I get so sick of the press and Miami fans whining about that.

He then went on to say that Saban should be booed in Tiger Stadium and made remarks how Saban betrayed LSU somehow by accepting a job in another league for more money.

The final straw is when he said that Bama fans will know how LSU fans feel when Saban goes to Tennessee in a couple of years.

The yankee media is going to hate it when the SEC wins another BCS crown this year.

Just a moronic ignorant rant from a talking head. What's new?

I didn't hear it that way at all, except calling him a liar and the end comment, it was mostly respectful ,saying Saban made LSU a power , and is doing the same at Alabama. even lebretard said 'you don't have to like him , but you have to respect him. the last comment was about Bama fans will know how lsu fans feel when Saban leaves in 3 years, maybe for Tennessee. that was a low blow!

Everytime that I hear someone make a comment about how Saban will leave Alabama in X years for school Y, it just reinforces how ignorant and simple-minded many people are.

We caught Saban after he had reached (what he thought was) the peak of his career and found that it wasn't what he wanted. I realize that most of these talking heads on television don't understand because they enjoy reporting on and working with egotistical, spoiled-rotten jerks. That's company that they enjoy... mainly because that's what they are as well.

Saban has an ego and his rapid ascent up the coaching ladder is a testament to that. However, when he reached the top level, he found that it didn't suit him and he was approached with what was likely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. He was wanted by a traditional powerhouse that was down on its luck and was willing to basically hand him the keys to the kingdom. He had to jump at that moment or lose the opportunity.

Most of those who have given him so much grief would do the same thing if faced with that decision. If they wouldn't, then they are foolish beyond the ability of the English language to fully describe. So, anyone who faults him is either a hypocrite or a fool. I would wish to be neither.

The only way Coach Saban could have avoided the bull crap he's experiencing is to have conducted the following fictional interview....
Of course it's not possible..but I get so ticked off at these moron's.

Q: Coach are you considering the Alabama job?
A: Considering?? Ha! Dude, my butts outa here as soon as this seasons over.

Q: What about your Miami players? How do you think they'll respond?
A: I could care less about my players. They all have incentives in their contracts that could make them and their families a few more hundreds of thousands of dollars if they finish out the season on a positive note, but what the heck, I'm gone and if they can't handle not having a reason to be motivated it's their loss, not mine...aiight?

Q: Couldn't you have waited until the end of the season to announce your intentions?
A: Could have?? Yeah....but, again, I could care less about my players, or the owner, or the organization...it's all about me. Aiight?

Q: I can't believe your saying this..
A: Should I have lied to the media, or misled the media, or bought some time while I was making a gut wrenching decision??

Q:In this particular situation coach, maybe you should have..
A:I don't think I heard you clearly ESPN dude??

Q: I said...in this particular situation, maybe you should have.
A: Why?

Q: Because you have to think about people other than your self.
A: Thank you moron....thank you!

Forgive me mod's if I stepped over the line....but this is ridiculous.

A great man, who is a great leader of young men, is still being crucified because he made a decision to make a career change that was best for him and his family.

If one of those ESPN guys ever switches to CBS, we need to shoot out about ten million emails condemning his character.

That's my opinion....

Alasippi...who wrote in Coach Saban for President yesterday.

I have one little piece of advice for those who "think" Coach Saban will leave for another school, and it is this: Call Fran and ask him what the worse mistake he ever made was. HINT: Coach Saban is not only a better coach than Fran (and Curry) but a whole lot smarter too.

Little piece of advice number two: Name me another school where you can come off a a 6-7, followed by a 7-6 and leap from 24th ranked to 2nd ranked in six weeks. Go ahead, name them. (You can do it on one hand) HINT: Tennessee is not one of them.

Little piece of advice number three: Get the Saban issue of Forbes Magazine and do a little reading before you run your mouth.

Here's what I think brought Coach Saban to Bama...

It's the ultimate challenge.

No coach has ever won National Titles at two schools.

No coach has ever won three consecutive National Titles.

He can accomplish both if he stays in Tuscaloosa.

If he does indeed reach those landmarks, he will have done something that no coach has ever done, including Paul Bryant.

That would pretty much make him recognized as the best, or certainly one of the best, college coaches of all time.

What better legacy? What bigger challenge and motivation???

There is none.

He's not moving.

Just brilliant, Alasippi...brilliant. Save this one for the Leotards and Cornholes of the world for times when they decide that they would rather do something else for a living, or <<<GASP!>>> work for another company! They SERIOUSLY delude themselves into thinking that "they" would tell their employer EVERY TIME they look for or entertain overtures from other potential employers? I don't think so...

I saw it and it was great. Those 2 talk about Saban more than anybody else did in the days when it was "cool" to do that, and both of them had to look like idiots and basically call him a great coach. And whats very funny is Lebetard was only so angry about Saban leaving because he knew Miami had a great coach.

In the foreseeable future Saban doesn't seem to want to go anywhere as there's no place better, enjoy this time fellow Bammers :D

We're 9-0, 5-0 in the SEC, ranked #1 in the country...

..and, some of you are concerned about what some insignificant talking heads say?

Any conversation that begins or ends with Alabama (excepting those that include the phrase "lack of institutional control") is a good thing.

They have to talk about something. Might as well be us.

Very good points. The bottom line is that the guys saying "Saban will leave in X years" are hoping he leaves...

On Tuesday's PTI Mike Wilbon said "Florida will beat Alabama's brains out" in the SEC championship game. I got a good laugh out of that.:D

If Florida makes it to the SEC championship game ;) that would make some good bulletin board material.
