Tebow has narrowed his list to his final top 5/ Tebow interview (Merged)

His top five on his final list are Bama, Florida, LSU, Michigan, and USC in no particular order. It looks as if FSU and Miami have been eliminated from serious consideration. He is set to announce his decision on Dec. 14th on ESPN.

and, it's the most speculated five. I still have to believe it comes down to Bama and UF. *crossing fingers and toes*

If you look at depth charts, factor in distance from home, relationship with the staff, etc.... you'd have to favor Bama over all 4. If he chooses the Gators, we'll know that home influence, etc were too much to overcome.

They are a class family and I wish him success wherever he chooses....as long as it isn't against us.

One more point, evidently Tebow was at the Florida-Georgia game this weekend.

I have zero inside information, but I don't see how he chooses any other school over Bama or Florida. My reasoning is every weekend he seems to make it to either a Florida or Bama game....that's gotta mean something.

I think so...he's been to two games in Tuscaloosa and I know he's been to a few at Florida games and I don't know if he's visted the other three.

:biga2:

He's been to Bama several times, and has had his official. Will be on another unofficial for the LSU game.

Of course, he's been to UF many times in his life. Official vs FSU.

He participated at the Elite QB camp at USC. Official vs UCLA.

He's unofficially visited Mich ( and, no "why wasn't there any snow?" comments like Barner Caudle ;) ) Official vs. OSU.

He's unofficially visited LSU, will be there this weekend.

tebow ,fayson and hornsby(offical) are coming for L.S.U.?

Fayson has his official for UGA set for that week....

Hornsby....I just wouldn't count on him to visit at all.

Tebow will be here.

However, BB:

.........it doesn't hurt to lose those manners once he suits up and runs out on the field through the door way marked "BAMA"!

I just hope our already pending QB, JPW has learned his lesson(s) and doesn't try that "bad-boy" image any more or something will have to give and I can expect it NOT to be Coach Shula........fool me once, etc.......!!!

V4B,
JPW is a fine young man from a good family who made a mistake. There was/is no attempt to develop a "bad boy" image as you called it.

This article from Tidesports makes it sound like Hornsby WILL be at the LSU game (and it mentions the apparent desire Tebow, Fayson, and Hornsby have to attend the same school).

http://www.tidesports.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20051031/BONE1/51031004/-1/fbrecruits01

Jamar Hornsby is a five-star receiver from Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, (Fla.) and rated the third-best receiver in the country by Scout.com. Hornsby and Tim Tebow will travel to Tuscaloosa for the LSU game. Fayson, Hornsby and Tebow are hoping to make it to the same college campus in 2006.

I don't know if Tebow made those comments or not because he has said several times that Michigan was out of the running early because of the distance his parents would have to travel to see him play. And while he has said he would take a trip to USC, it is my personal opinion that he's doing it for two reasons...first, why not...it's a free trip to Southern California and secondly, it would be dumb for him not to look at SC and then decide that the people of Southern California are loony tunes! Not to mention that SC is in a TERRIBLE neighborhood! If you've ever been there you know what I'm talking about...if not, it's not a nice area of town at all!

I am fairly confident it will come down to Bama & Florida and believe that Bama has the upper hand at the moment.

though I have been skeptical of signing Tebow in the past, I am now saying he will commit to Bama...from things I've heard
- he likes Coach Shula
- he likes Coach Shula's pro connections, including his dad
- his family likes Coach Shula
- he likes Bama's style of offense
- he likes our tradition
- he likes his chances of starting next year at Bama
- he has had his grandparents to at least one Bama game and they liked what they saw and heard
- Michigan and USC are too far away
- Fla doesn't run the offense thta he wants to run
- and this was the final thing that topped it with me, the Bama Belle assigned to him during his visit said he will sign with Bama.

DAN: Can you tell us the five?

TIM TEBOW: Yes sir, Alabama, Florida, LSU, Southern Cal and Michigan.
Well, we were the first school that came out of his mouth, so that means we're in the forefront of his mind.
