Is it just me or do you guys think that once Leak is gone and TT has to play full time and be the man that things will be different? ESPN and some of the other sports folks act as if the SEC has not faced running QB's before. Once he plays and DC's see his patterns and he has to do more I think he will get a rude awakining. I also don't think he will be able to take the pounding for 8 games against SEC D's. The D Coodinators in this league find a way to humble you quickly. I just don't see him being the superman next year that many do.

The backup QB is always popular (unless they wear crimson). Tebow will have the same growing pains next year that any first year QB has.

I don'tthink the kid is bad. I just think he is being set up for a big surprise and let down next year.

Indeed.

His body won't hold up to the running attack once he's out there every play, and I haven't seen much passing yet. I certainly haven't seen any Leak-like passing...

There's little doubt if Tebow stays healthy he'll be a star, but I'm a bitperplexed by the overwhelming hype this year compared to his actual in-game accomplishments.

He's a powerful runner, no doubt, but I'm yet not convinced he's Bo Jackson and Joe Namath wrapped up in one package.

Now if you've got a couple minute and want to see a quarterback who can really run ... click HERE ... and under "Mountaineers TV" click on "MSU Highlights" ... wait till about the three minute mark and enjoy Daphne, Alabama's own Pat White.

I can't believe he is still running off that left side and making good yardage every time. You'd think defenses would catch on eventually.

Isn't he over 235 lbs? It also helps that he's an aggressive player. If you'll notice he's not "getting hit" much but delivering a lot of the blows which is much different than "taking a hit".

But I do think that he has benefitted from not being on the field long enough in games for defenses to really get a bead on him. But once he plays for any extended period of time both his strength's AND weaknesses will show up. And you better believe that defenses will put the cross hairs on any weakness he may have. He won't be "unstoppable" but he dang sure will probably be a part of a lot of Gator wins.

Every time to his left side. If you noticed in both the Alabama and LSU games he was at least 3 yards up the field before there was any defensive contact, somebody has an offensive line that moves the defense off the ball.

Good point. Doesn't matter how much he runs the ball if he's not getting touched until he's at the second level of the defense he essentially becomes an extra running back. He's big enough to be a full back.

He should go pro after his freshman year. The media love him so much that he would succeed where Clarrett failed. Plus, his daddy wants him to go pro as soon as possible. Daddy knows all.

... and yes Urban Myers invented Daddies.

Tebow should do fairly well at Florida. Jones when he was at Arkansas ran quite a bit too and I don't recall him spending a lot of time in the hospital.

I think most of y'all are just whistling past the graveyard. Tebow is a special athlete and will make his mark in the SEC before he's done. Y'all act like he's just a one-trick pony and all he can do is run. He set passing records in the State of Florida as well in HS. Him and UM are gonna be a tough nut to crack for the next 3 years. Foolmer and Richt are likely gonna be battling for 2nd place in the SEC East.

Tebow is and will be the man.

Sure he'll get hit on a majority of his plays, but that's no big deal. Injuries don't happen that often in football. I can't even recall if Bama had a QB go down with an injury.

How good of a resume does Jones have from Arky? A couple of losses at low level bowls! I think we will see this kid get racked pretty good. The big reason Tebow is doing so well right now is because he has no pressure and teams are planning for Leak mostly. And let's face it, they have to.
