seriously though... i know everone cries about the white leggings and white shoes, but how bout black leggings and black shoes??? i think that would look pretty mean, and it would surely look a lot more uniform.

Well...

Anthony Bryant's calves would look OK. As for a lot of the rest, black shrinks - the reason chubby chicks like it (dodging missiles). If you have "high calves," or, as my dad (and Coach Bryant) called them, "spindly shanks," you look like you're running around on toothpicks - which is what Oregon St. and some others look like... :biggrin2:

ugh..i think that would look horrible...i like the black shoes with low socks look....but if were gonna talk uniforms...please please please bring back the white helmets ...and keep the crimson ones also..that would be so awesome..i kno all of you talk about it looking like crap or wutever ..but i personally love it...if it looks so bad and it actually botherd somebody of importance who was making the decisions they could do what louisville does ..with the metallic flake in there white helmets..but i think just the plain white would be awesome ...

Let's leave the uniform alone. It's the best one in college football. The only change I would consider would be to take the names off the uniforms. Then it would be about team. That's what programs are for.

I think red pants would look cool, and leave the names on the uniforms. But I also like the forward pass, and think the internet is a cool thing too.

Up until the 70's,74, I think the jerseys had the numbers on the side of the arms(sleeves), but were removed for some reason.

NCAA logo...

I remember when fRaud was HC, he had the NCAA logos removed from the uniforms in protest of the excessive sanctions (if I'm recalling correctly). Just curious if the logos were ever reinstated on the uniforms. I don't recall noticing them while watching any of the games this past season. If it were up to me, I would never put that icon of corruptness back on our uniforms.

Since I am a woman, I feel the need to comment on this fashion issue...DO NOT touch the uniforms, best in the country! We are the prettiest team in America when we take the field I wouldnt' change a thing about them.

the only change i would consider is to go with the metallic helmet like OU's. leave the names on the jerseys. leave the crimson helmet. i hate it when teams have two different helmets. the helmet is the ultimate staple of tradition. and please, no crimson pants. of course, i dont have to worry about any of this because we all know bama's uniforms wont change.

Here -Here! I'm in total agreement with you Bamagirl! When we take the field with those crimson jerseys, crimson helmets and white pants and black shoes, we ARE the prettiest team in the country. In my mind, no other teams' uniforms comes close. But then again, I may be biased just a little. :wink:

The uniform question

Isn't it a little early to bring this up? I thought this topic was always reserved for late July or early August just to make people panic at the thought of changing our uniforms

Man....you can tell the board is slow and we are all thristy for the Tide to start up again! How many more days until A-day??

BTW...I vote to leave the uniforms the way they are...the are perfect

i don't think Crimson Pants are really wanted by many people at all... but i'm still thinking about the black socks. that's all! just black socks!

i enjoy the reactions to uniform topics. that's about the only reason i started this thread. hee hee! :tongue:
