The Barn...Impressive- 7 points on D, or Sloppy- 9 points scored?

I have mixed emotions about this. Both I think. The D is looking very good, but their offense is not impressive at all. To shut Arky's offense down is impressive, but to score only 9 points on Arky is laughable. The Hogs defense is not that good. Not to mention, everyone is wanting Houston Nutt out, so the players are not playing with a whole lot of confidence behind their coach. All I've heard the last couple of days is that Auburn's defense is so great(and they are) and that their offense was just playing conservative because of the type of game it was. But, I think that's just bull. Auburn has a solid running game and they totally base their offense off of that and that creates the play action passing. Their gameplan was good against Florida (who was looking ahead to LSU) and they played well against Vandy, but there are holes in Aubie's armor and it will be put on display more on Saturday. LSU won't be looking ahead.

By the way, I'm not neglecting that we have our own problems too. Our offense was somewhat better (except for turnovers) on Sat. and our defense is what it is (bend a lot and don't break a lot.....well sometimes). Hopefully, we'll just continue to improve and catch some breaks here and there. But, I'm not jumping on the "Aubie is all that" band wagon. That's for sure!!! rtr

Impressive win by their D. Their O has struggled this year. Actually chalk that win up to Nutt driving his team into the ground.

It seemed to me that their offense played not to lose, and it almost cost them in the end.

Seems to me the barn played conservatively on offense in the Arkie game and if the Hogs hadn't got away from what they do best ie. run the ball, they might would have won the game. But credit the barns 'D', they look pretty stout.

I would say both. Good job against McFadden and Jones. Lots of dropped passes on offense.

Arkansas loss of Monk has really hurt them in being able to stetch the field, this is the very situation we were in when Prothro went down and the rest of the season was humbling to say the least. Give the Tigers one thing their D played lights out evben if their O didn't and without Q Groves. Somedays you have to take the Crimson glasses off and see what is really happening and not what you would like to happen. With that said let me put my NOMEX III on before the flash fire begins, or in the words of Johnny Storm "Flame On!"

I only saw the last part of the game. The Ark DC may have done a great job of playcalling earlier, but the calls on the gamewinning drive just sucked. Soft zones when all Auburn needed was a FG? just stupid.
