Does Bama really need bulletin board material to get them motivated? We lost to MSU and ULM back to back and we have Auburn next. That alone should motivate them.
There was. I'm looking for it now.wasnt there an auburn player that said we were going to work 366 or 370 days a year to beat bama?
Quinton Groves suggested in a pre-season interview that Auburn would just have to work 370 days a year to beat Alabama when asked what he thought of Nick Saban's comment. I do not recall who was doing the interview.wasnt there an auburn player that said we were going to work 366 or 370 days a year to beat bama?
We have a winning record against Bama (not by much -2 games I think) over the last 30 years. Let's get past the probation stuff. AU - Alabama has been hard fought for more years than most of us have been alive.Anybody got any pictures of coloring books,Tubberville record vs Bama BEFORE probation and coaching changes, one where he was crying like a panzy when he spoke to the press after jetgate, any Navid Nousel hairlip closeups, hay parades and the average I.Q. score of every baRner down on the farm?
6 wins in a row - 2 = +4 for Bama. Not gonna matter much though. We will take our second straight against the barn on Friday. Oh, and guess what. We still have Saban and you have Chizik. I see the gap in the series getting very wide in Bama's favor over the next 10 years...We have a winning record against Bama (not by much -2 games I think) over the last 30 years. What a shock you see it that way. BTW - Saban has never beaten Chizik. In fact. Chizik has enjoyed seeing a couple of AU victories over Bama in his years as DC at AU. The clock starts now and based on our currently ranked 7th recruiting class and rising . I wouldn't count on the recent domination Saban has enjoyed against a depleted AU team from Tubb's last efforts. 10 years is just a ridiculous estimate and goes against any history of our teams. We beat Saban plenty of times when he was at LSU and loved every minute of it. Bama has a killer team this year, but let's not get delusions of grandeur.6 wins in a row - 2 = +4 for Bama. Bear didnt play much in the last 30 years did he. Nope.except the Bear's years? Is this some type of barner logic where you put all the variables in your favor and frame the issue? Saban has a long way to go to fill those shoes? True, but he still has as many national titles as you guys have in your history. I think he'll do fine at Bama. If he wins another MNC this year, then he's 1/3 of the way to Bear's status. Good luck with Chiz.
LOL at "currently ranked 7th recruiting class"; "What a shock you'd see it that way". Bama has had 2 #1 ranked classes in a row and will finish in the top 5 again this year. I'm not going to argue with you about this. Bama has been in the top 10 for two years straight, our record is 23-2 whereas AU's is 12-12. As many AU fans have told me, "quit living in the past". Results speak for themselves and games aren't won or lost on message boards. You and your Auburn friends know this, and I think most of you realize that Bama has a clear advantage this year and most likely in the next few years. The talent gap is huge right now. Good luck and I'm hoping for a huge Bama win but no injuries on either side. What a shock you see it that way. BTW - Saban has never beaten Chizik. In fact. Umm... Rivals sees it that way too. :rolleye2:LOL at "currently ranked 7th recruiting class"; "What a shock you'd see it that way". ..... and I think most of you realize that Bama has a clear advantage this year and most likely in the next few years. Wow. Dude, don't try and tell me about how Rivals sees things. I'm a huge supporter of Rivals and a recruiting nerd. I know where AU is ranked, and I also know where Bama is ranked. I know where we could be ranked (1st) if a few more chips fall our way (we get Hicks or Luc, finish with Fulton and a few others).Umm... Rivals sees it that way too. :rolleye2:
You are right about one thing, you have a clear advantage THIS year with your talent on field. Bama will most likely have another advantage next year, and even a slight one the year after that. What we have now wasn't what Chizik built and we are looking to what our current coach is doing and not what our previous left us. 10 years is still a nutty estimate. Unless we are under probation. Don't count on that.
Tubby and his staff, when hired, said they "would never lose to Bama"; 2001 and 2008 were mirages.Quinton Groves suggested in a pre-season interview that Auburn would just have to work 370 days a year to beat Alabama when asked what he thought of Nick Saban's comment. I was thinking the same thing.I would have bet the farm that Coach Saban's quote would be in the locker room there. I just think it's funny that they have to clarify by putting "(Auburn)" on there. Guess they need some help reading between the lines. I will say this, I'm pretty down right now, but have noticed that as we get closer, that fire inside is starting to finally build up a bit.
