Well it would keep him in Texas, I think one of the myriad reasons given when he left Alabama was that he LOVED Texas. Isn't it kind of ironic that NCAA sanctions supposedly scared him away from Alabama, and he might go to the only school to ever receive the worst NCAA sanction available?

Yeah, it should have been apparent that I was talking about Fran, given the comments about always wanting to be in Texas and leaving Alabama for fear of NCAA sanctions. Prior to now, I don't think CMA was ever at Alabama, maybe I'm wrong.

Cam Cameron to Michigan? Butch Davis to Arkansas?

Both coaches have been at their respective jobs for just a year. Too early for either of them to be leaving for Arkansas (step down for Cameron, lateral move for Davis).

Also, why would Kragthorpe go from Lousiville (one of the better Big East teams...most years) to SMU? He just left one of the better teams in that conference. Why would he go back to a worse team?

Does anyone remember when Arkansas and Clemson swapped coaches? Danny Ford went to Arky from Clemson and the Arky HC went to Clemson. I can't remember his name. Was it John David Crowe? Have two teams ever swapped HC before?

Clemson could offer their HC job to Steve Spurrier, but Visor Boy's more apt to entertain an offer from Michigan.
And what's this about SC possibly wanting Sparky Woods back? If I recall correctly, they fired him back in the mid 90's after several consecutive losing seasons. He was a loser there, a loser at LSU and again as an assistant under Mike Shula at Bama. I wonder if they think he's learned how to win or maybe they finally realize that a mediocre coach fits pretty well at a consistently mediocre program.
