I don't even want to watch it, because every time he does something on Bama's defense he rips it to shreds. I know the problems our defense has, so no need for me to keep subjecting myself to see it in slow motion and on replay. LOL!
He gives lots of praise that Wommack is now doing multiples and disguises.
Then we do that Cover 1 robber on 3rd and medium to long and give it up every time.
Doesn't understand why he's got Russaw dropping into coverage so much....he doesn't look comfortable and his strength is pass rushing. Said he can get home with speed or strength. Says he's our best player and should be rushing the QB all the time.

Plus he says they've made the changes to the D that they've been harping on during their reviews.

They go a little overboard. Breaking down the first game, he pointed out Bray filled the wrong gap he shoukd have leveraged the ball carrier . But anyone that truly knows defense knew Bray did exactly what he was suppose to do on the play . If you don't fill holes off tackle , the ball carrier won’t be outside to levarage. He makes good points , but he makes some things fit his narrative for sensationalism.
I agree with you. I've been watching the films review by some guys on YouTube the last few days and I'm little iffy on what they see v.s. What coaches are seeing.
I think FGN was rather complimentary about Womack's better work. I'd say FGN sounds "cautiously optimistic" about Bama's chances against UGA.
I'm sure the coaches see a lot of the same things when they do their film review. But keep in mind, hindsight is 20/20. Breaking down film after the game is a whole lot different than coaching in the heat of the moment, so to speak.

I've seen some of this as well - there are times that he projects that he knows the scheme and the calls, when I am not so sure he really does.
that said, I think he's right on the items below (especially the bold italics) as those aren't call centric, they're approach centric and don't really require knowing the specific call.
and frankly, that's all that matters in the end. I don't bother with videos regarding breakdowns on either side of the ball. I have my own eyes during the live game and I trust them to see the good and the bad.

Sometimes its good to watch the film because it can reveal what we THOUGHT we saw isn't what we actually saw. Just like after the Whisky game we all thought they were stacking the box to stop the run and thats why we couldn't run on them. But the film shows otherwise. They weren't stacking the box like most on this board thought. They were stopping us with dropping seven and rushing four.
It wasn't a confident pick. He stated he was sticking with his preseason pick, but that nothing he's watched on film leads him to really believe Bama should win this one.
And quite honestly, until DeBoer figures out SEC road games and the fact that both their lines are better....I just have a hard time picking Bama in this one.
Yep, once he mentioned that and you could see it on the film....that didn't give me a lot of hope vs Georgia or any SEC team really, but especially on the road.
I know he mentioned that the folks at UGA he's talked to respect Jam Miller and expect him back. That he will bring more to the running game.
I do worry about getting down early and the team folding like they did at FSU. Getting pass happy even more trying to come back and Ty getting pummeled back there.
On paper we should lose, maybe by worse than we did in Tallahassee. But that's why they play the game, I think we matchup much better against UGA and their style of play. I think it's either going to be a close loss or a 2 TD win depending on how the ball bounces.
Indeed. I think we'll have to pass to open up some runs. Hope Jam doesn't get popped just right to reaggravate the injury. Ty has been sharp and our WR's are very good. Gotta figure out how to give him time to throw.
And we'll have to slow their run down. I fear they are going to gash us and then towards the end just lean on us. If we can get a lead late and make them pass, I think we can pick one or two off.
Being honest the only edge we have imo is Mental.
For whatever reason Bama is in Kirby’s Head and UGAs
They just completely psyche themselves out almost every time.
As weird as it might seem I think our best chance of winning is for them to get out to a lead early and start feeling the pressure and choke.
A reverse of last years game but with the team losing making the complete comeback.
If we get out front early our recent mo is to ease up and lose focus and UGAs is they don’t quit or give up.
