Where ever there's BBQ, Bourbon & Football
"In my opinion, other than Parker Brailsford, the other four offensive linemen are over weight"

"Kayden has some great reps, but there are also five to six plays a game that it is so clear and obvious, he's playing over weight"

In the video you'll see we do some good things, but there are problems with our offensive line, one being weight and as you watch, the other being a lot of bad technique.

Got to be lineman coaching changes soon.

Not only are we not getting top recruits, the ones we get underperform.
The sad thing is, as I've watched this all the way through, it is very alarming how many of our Oliemen get beat and how often they get beat. It's not just one guy, it's the majority of them. Brailsford is hands down our best guy on the line and it's not even close.

And also, the video shows Wisconsin DIDN'T LOAD THE BOX the entire game. They actually did the opposite and we still couldn't run the ball.

I keep hearing the announcers talk about the left tackle being a top draft pick, I don't see it. I have never played organized football but I could get by him and get the QB. With our O-line's play so far this year, I'm afraid this game is going to be just like the Florida State game. I hope I'm wrong and they get it together.

That didn't register with me at all. This is their weight:
I'm not sure if it's right.
Proctor is 366lbs
Robers-327lbs
Fromby-324lbs
Brailsford 290lbs
Dewberry-332lbs
VanDeMark 326lbs

That caught me off guard.

The car is heavy and somewhat underpowered, I tend to agree with the film guy.

Since hes making his assessment of their weight by watching film. "Theyre overweight " is probably coming from him seeing how slow to the point of contact they many times are and how DL'men frequently beat them off the snap. But if you watch the video its obvious they are slow and get beat a lot. Call it "overweight" or whatever, but the end result is the same. Its bad Oline play.

Okay now I get it.

He probably is, which is what’s so frustrating. The staff doesn’t have him where he needs to be, which is about 50 lbs lighter.

I like him (the film guy) for the most part. His film study of Wommack is pretty bleak but accurate

I wish we could’ve moved proctor to rt and paid some legit Lt whatever it took like Texas Tech

I'm not sure some people realize how bad the situation is right now with the running game.

I posted this elsewhere, but Alabama's top rusher is 35th in the SEC! 120 yards. Alabama is 13th in the SEC in rushing. They only hand off on 35% of the offensive plays (which is normal for DeBoer but alarming for the SEC).

I had several discussions here about Justice Haynes and I was adamant I believed he was under-utilized. Some posters last year seemed to think he just wasn't that good.

Well, he's one of the top running backs in the nation right now (tied for third). 537 yards (more than Alabama's rushing totals), 8.1 YPC (nearly double Alabama's average), and 6 rushing TDs (more rushing TDs than Alabama). This against a higher SoS than Alabama has played including 125 yards and a 6.6 average against Oklahoma (he got 3 carries against them last year).

I think the problem is two-fold. Poorly prepared to run the ball and a lack of commitment to running the ball (each exacerbating the other). It's a legitimate problem and I'm not sure how to succeed in the SEC with such an inept running game.

We have bad problems on the offensive line right now. We are borderline horrible at running the ball and most of it because our OL is bad at run blocking and opening holes. The video just shows how bad we are at it.

And they got beat by an SEC school.

I’m more concerned with our receivers trying to block LB’ers. It’s more a scheme thing. Are we a great line? No , but we can get better personnel on the field to help out in the run game. Passing concepts are great, but the coaching scheme and personnel really handicap us in the running game.
