The Game Is On (MERGED THREADS)

It doesn't look like the game is "officially" on yet. There is a meeting this morning at 9 a.m. to decide for sure whether or not the game will be played. Check here for the full story.
 
The article also states that the game will still be televised on a PPV basis. That's good news for those of us out of the area that subscribe to ESPN Game Plan.

Now if my satellite signal will just hold up thru the storm as we get hit in Virginia tomorrow.

The Game a go - Kickoff on the Quad reinstated...

Not only will the game be played but "Kickoff on the Quad" will take place.
The Quad will have the food vendors and a good time will be had by all.

Latest release on rolltide.com says differently

According to the latest release on rolltide.com, the game will go on as scheduled but Kickoff on the Quad has been cancelled.

Still No Kickoff on the Quad

According to Rolltide.com and the Tuscaloosa News, Kickoff on the Quad is still cancelled for this weekend only. I repeat...No Kickoff on the Quad this Saturday. Also, Coach Moore suggested that people with RV's wait until after 5 p.m. today to arrive on campus. This will allow enough time to clear debris from campus.

the title of the thread to reflect the official position:

"Moore encouraged fans arriving in motor homes and RVs to 'wait until 5 p.m. today to park on campus.' That will allow our clean-up crews time to remove debris from parking areas.”

Both the official site and the Tuscaloosa News say it's not a go. Please do not post anything to the contrary unless you can provide an authoritative link...
 
I called the University of Alabama Media Relations department (205-348-6084) and they said that yes, Kickoff on the Quad is back on for the weekend. They had cancelled it, but changed their mind.

Scaled back Kickoff on the Quad

We have the MDBA tent at Kickoff on the Quad and I got a call from UA today saying they had reinstated a scaled back "Kickoff on the Quad". No tents, but some tables, etc. They asked if we planned to participate but it's too late to organize things since this call was about noon today.

They may have the food vendors but the activities will not be as robust as normal.
