yeah, there have been some epic games, but the absurdly lopsided outcomes in this rivalry in the past 17-18 years keep it from being "best" or "great" as far as rivalries go imho.I didn't watch the entire video but it appeared to be leading up to that UGA/Alabama game being the best CFB rivalry. If that is the case, I couldn't disagree more. It had more drama because of the Saban/Smart relationship, but that dynamic is now gone. Saban is retired and honestly, Kirby's success is appearing to cool off a bit. Yes, we've played a few good games against each other, but nothing to take it to the "best".
It's been some good games recently, but overall, the "rivalry" is so lopsided it is very tough for me to even put it at the LSU level of "rivalry", which isn't much of a rivalry either.yeah, there have been some epic games, but the absurdly lopsided outcomes in this rivalry in the past 17-18 years keep it from being "best" or "great" as far as rivalries go imho.
I could watch that play all day long.granted, this hit is similar to what you would see in a rivalry game

Pretty sure Florida is their #1.We aren’t even each other’s biggest rival or even second biggest. They even have Florida as a third big rival.
AgreeTo me, the 2012 SEC championship game started the rivalry. and no, it’s not a real rivalry, it’s a competition rivalry.
We got them twice with the same play. One of the most Clutch Throws in Alabama history…
This. The east was down for so many years UGA has had a cakewalk through it while everyone in the West bludgeoned each other to death. It became more of a Kirby vs. Saban rivalry in my opinion. More than a Bama vs. UGA. If the rest of the East was any good we wouldn't even be talking about this.
Among your regular contributions to this message board, I always enjoy this one the most.granted, this hit is similar to what you would see in a rivalry game
