The most satisfying game you've attended

I thought I start a contrasting thread from my brotha chris.............
It may not have been the biggest but the most satisfying win I've attended was 10erC this year, I told my cousin when the FG went through listen to all those monkeys dropping off our backs...... I smiled all the way back to Abu Dhabi :biggrin2: :biggrin2: :biggrin2:

The 92 sugar Bowl. That place was rockin the whole game. The fact we were given so little respect made it that much sweeter, along with the fact I didn't know how I would react if those Miami thugs started gyrating around like a dance squad the way they did when they beat other teams.

This one might surprise some of you but 1973 Auburn. 35-0, it wasn't much of a game but it shut up the Barners after listening to them scream "Punt Bama Punt" into my ears for a solid year.

BTW, in that game Bama's punting average was 0 punts for 0 yards 0 average and Auburn had 0 punt return yards.

Seeing how I've attended far fewer games than most on this board(growing up in FL only allows so many trips), I'd have to say UF last year. That's probably because I'm from Florida though ;)

Well, I've attended two games in person.
Bryant's 315th victory, and a loss to Tennessee in the late 90's.
So my choice was an easy one.

v. notre dame at legion field (86 i think). i was sitting rin the corner of the endzone where the sack took place. got to watch it develop and all. very satisfying.

1999 SEC Championship. I had to listen to My brother in law who is a horses behind tell me with his friends how they were gonna kill us and it was so satisfying to watch them all leave by the end of the second quarter because they were losing so bad.
There have been other great games I have been to but that was the most satisfying that I have been to.

I'm a HS Senior in Texas attending BAMA next year so I've only been to one: This years Cotton Bowl. I knew the defense was good but they dominated the tech offense. Plus after seeing that kick somehow get through (I was in that endzone)...it was nice.

Haven't seen many in person, but the first one stands out. 1986 against Tennessee. Both teams were ranked very highly (top ten I'm pretty sure). My dad had moved to Birmingham and decided to take me to the game since UT was favored and he is a UT grad. Well, after Bama scored the first 28 points or so the laughing was all mine. Wow! What a game - Bama wins 56-28 (UT scores twice late due to back-ups being in the game.) Thanks for stirring up the memory!!!

(Another memory - I Believe that Bama scored on the first play of the game! Gives me chill bumps just thinking about it. Man, I wish football season would hurry up a get here!!!)

I'm a young'un so give me a lil slack. I'd say '99 Florida or '05 Florida. No offense to any other schools we've beaten, but those were start to finish whoopin's. Last year's UT game was satisfying also.

1985 Iron Bowl - Tiffin's kick put an exclamation point on the greatest 4th quarter of football I have ever seen. That was when Legion Field was 50/50 between Bama fans and barn fans. As the kick sailed through, the barn side fell silent in disbelief and the Bama fans exploded. We stayed for an hour after the game.

The '98 Bama-LSU game at Death Valley is my favorite. It was a perfect day for football and coming back to win late in the 4th was classic.

The '92 Sugar Bowl against the U was a close second.

An almost satisfying game that probably belongs in the other thread was the Bama-OU game in T-Town. It was probably the most electric, mind-numbing, loud as all get out game that I've ever seen at BD. We played our guts out against a team that went on to play for the NC and we actaully hung with them with a group of players that had been through so much turmoil leading up to the game.

The game in 2002 against the Viles in Knoxville. We win 34-14 to break that god-awful streak! Santonio Beard made a HUGE run in the 3rd quarter on a play that the Viles fans questioned, saying the play should have been ruled dead near mid-field. I have never been in a place that loud and I fly commercial jets for United Airlines. There was so much booing that I could not communicate with my Dad sitting next to me except by yelling at him. The noise went on even after Tyler Watts scored on the drive minutes later. To be in Neyland Stadium after beating the FAT MAN and singing RAMMER JAMMER with 15000(?) of my Tide friends was priceless. Incidentally I paid a broker $300 bucks for 2 tickets. I would've paid $1000 had I known it was going to turn out that good. ROLL TIDE ROLL

The '92 Inaugural SECCG in B'ham at Legion Field..............
It was raining/sleeting and around 35 degrees. UF had taken the momentum and the feeling was that they would probably drive down and score. Then................BAM, up steps Langham and a W on the way to the NC.
To win that game after most were saying it was THE stumbling block on the way to the NC, and that it wasn't fair to have to play that "extra" game when nobody else was, was just something special. Also, looking back, it might have changed NCAA football forever.......whether or not in a positive way is still up for debate.

RTR-stop the streak

Several come to mind:

1985 vs Notre Dame - The game with the sack and gave us the first win against the Irish.
1983 vs Vanderbilt- It was my first and last game to watch CPB live and in person.
1992 SECG vs Florida- It was just a fantastic game for a fantastic season.
1999 SECG vs Florida- I love beating Spurrier twice in the same year.

Been to some great ones- in school 1992-1997.
My favorite was the night game vs Georgia circa 1993-4.
Featured Jay Barker vs Eric Zier. We hit a fieldgoal to win and the stadium shook. Closed the Strip that night with the partying....ahhgood times.
