The Race for Number One: Arthur Brown, Terrelle Pryor, Julio Jones, & Darrell Scott

The Race for Number One: Arthur Brown
Four players could easily make a case for the top prospect in the country. As it is Election Week around the country, each Scout.com staff member and their respective top prospect in the region, will make their case for why they should be number one. On Friday, a vote will be held for the fans to make their ultimate decision on who is the fan’s choice for number one. Up first... Arthur Brown.

Arthur Brown, a 6-foot-1, 215-pound linebacker from East High in Wichita, Kansas is an absolute coaching dream on the defensive side of the ball.

Wow, AB's philosophy is right in line with CNS's coaching principles. They would make a great pairing. Unfortunately, I just don't see Bama being able to pull AB from OU. Maybe if OU was having a down year but not with them in the BCS picture. I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed though.

If anyone could pull him away from OU I would think CNS would be near the top of that list so hopefully there's still hope.

In this industry when you see thousands of players every year, it takes a heck of a player to amaze you. The first time I saw Jeannette, Pa., quarterback Terrelle Pryor in action as a junior I just walked away in amazement and I immediately began calling my co-workers and letting them know that I had just watched the best player I had ever seen in person.

AB could and would probably start his first game as a true freshman just like RM did if he comes to Bama. That, along with CNS's recruiting ability gives us a very good chance of landing him,IMO.

The word on the street in B'ham is that Browns younger brother has soured on attending his sr. year at Hoover so odds are you should not build your hopes up.

If AB doesn't come to Bama, it's not going to be because Bryce doesn't like Hoover. That rumor needs to have its wings clipped.

Agree wholeheartedly, that story does not sound credible at all. It has no substance in my opinion. If the Brown's were already looking at or planning to move to Alabama it would mean that AB is pretty certain he is going to attend Alabama. If that was the case then that would mean that BB was highly likely to follow him to Bama. I find it very hard to believe that the Hoover HS situation would have anything to do with those decisions. There are plenty of other very good schools for BB to attend in the Birmingham or Tuscaloosa areas. The word on the streets has never been very reliable. Until I hear it from someone credible it is simply another bad rumor.

We both know.........AB and his brother if he has the horsepower, will go much further into the pros from Alabama. You kinda wonder how these young potential future NFL stars do not realize that.....difference in rounds 1-4 v. 10+....and that is a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$.

No offense but OU has turned out loads of good LBs and RBs. What has their latest RB done? Only set an NFL record.

The Race for Number One: Darrell Scott
California has produced some decent running backs over the years. A few of them have even won Heisman Trophies. Names like Reggie Bush, Ricky Williams, Terrell Davis and Marcus Allen, and that’s just San Diego.

Ventura County doesn’t have the name power that other regions in Southern California have when it comes to high school football. But during this decade, its staking its claim as a pretty productive area.

Well this is my first post on tidefans.com so I would like to say hi to everyone. I live in Derby, Kansas which is 10 minutes away from Wichita. The Brown brothers play for Wichita East and I had the privledge of being able to watch them play. They are both amazing athletes. The rumor is that they will go to OU but.......I heard that Arthur had a great time in T-Town on his official visit. I really hope we can get him b/c it will be a package deal. For those of you that do not know about his brother Bryce just let me say that he is one bad man. He has size and speed and if we could them both to come to Bama they would start the Tide domination.....that is gonna happen anyway, so they better jump on board :biggrin2:
