Milroe absolutely needs another year at Bama but the NFL is littered with Quarterbacks that needed another year. Some were successful and some were not.

LSU or A&M make a lot of sense -- good to great supporting cast; the latter will have to get a coach who knows how to develop QB's. Personally, I hope he stays put, works his butt off trying to be #1 @ Bama, and see what happens.

Our next QB who transfers in order to play and does so successfully will the the first in my life-time. Billy Ray went to Duke when the ACC was a little more than wet toilet paper. He does't count....LOL.

A&M is in the middle of a coaching change. Have to see who they hire.

Billy’s a pretty cool cat and he’s got an 8th grade boy that can spin it!!! Legit…

Kiffin would get Ty drafted 100%

He would flourish at LSU too.

Of course I hope he stays because I see an All-SEC QB in the kid as his floor.
This is where I hate all the stupid transfer rules now. Transferring to a team in the same conference should have some type of penalty, but it doesn't. I really don't want to think of him at LSU.

I think many, myself included, saw his passing limitations and knew they wouldn't fit with our offense as it was being run at the time. That was what was so frustrating. If they thought Milroe was going to be the guy, they should have made changes much sooner. We are now using his athletic ability, which is great, to make defenses commit to stopping certain run options. This opens up the passing game and makes him look much better. As you stated, he still needs to make some improvements in the passing game, but now the offense matches his abilities much more, and that makes everything much more productive.
Agreed. I think that early this season, the problem was that Rees was trying to make him into a pocket passer but in doing so took away his best asset, which is his ability to run.

Hurts, Mac, Tua, and Bryce were all better passers than Milroe imo. Bryce was even a better scrambler but even Hurts was not a better runner. I view Milroe as similar to Lamar Jackson, in that his ability to run forces defenses to stay closer than they would like, thus making it easier to pass. Milroe will probably not consistently lead his receivers with pin point throws like Tua and Mac. The same might apply in terms of finding open receivers like Hurts and Bryce. BUT, he is a GREAT runner! He is also a hard working, wonderful kid, AND he keeps getting better.

I think that he has enough skills (and a great defense) to beat both Auburn and Georgia. Rees must continue to let him play his game with designed runs as well as RPOs. Our suddenly improved OL is strong enough to tire out defenses and trample them.

Good times ahead!!!

Connor Weigman returns at TAMU. The LSU backup, Nussmeier, is pretty good and returns.
Plus as mentioned above, Jaxon Dart returns at Ole Miss. If Manning decides to transfer I see LSU as a prime landing spot.
