Milroe absolutely needs another year at Bama but the NFL is littered with Quarterbacks that needed another year. Some were successful and some were not.
I would go to Ole Miss. Kiffin could do wonders for his developmentIf Simpson decides to stay in the SEC I think he picks from either Florida, Auburn or Kentucky.
A&M is in the middle of a coaching change. Have to see who they hire.LSU or A&M make a lot of sense -- good to great supporting cast; the latter will have to get a coach who knows how to develop QB's. Personally, I hope he stays put, works his butt off trying to be #1 @ Bama, and see what happens.
Our next QB who transfers in order to play and does so successfully will the the first in my life-time. Billy Ray went to Duke when the ACC was a little more than wet toilet paper. He does't count....LOL.
IDK man. Kiffin doesn't seem like the guy I'd want if I were trying to get ready for the NFL.I would go to Ole Miss. Kiffin could do wonders for his development
Jalen wasn't successful at Oklahoma?LSU or A&M make a lot of sense -- good to great supporting cast; the latter will have to get a coach who knows how to develop QB's. Personally, I hope he stays put, works his butt off trying to be #1 @ Bama, and see what happens.

Yes, but I was thinking of underclassmen...Jalen already had success here when he left...but you are correct. TS has not had that kind of success or showed that he can...Jalen wasn't successful at Oklahoma?
Gotcha, that makes sense. Most QBs that transfer from Bama are never heard from again.Yes, but I was thinking of underclassmen...Jalen already had success here when he left...but you are correct. TS has not had that kind of success or showed that he can...
Billy’s a pretty cool cat and he’s got an 8th grade boy that can spin it!!! Legit…LSU or A&M make a lot of sense -- good to great supporting cast; the latter will have to get a coach who knows how to develop QB's. This is where I hate all the stupid transfer rules now. Transferring to a team in the same conference should have some type of penalty, but it doesn't. I really don't want to think of him at LSU.Kiffin would get Ty drafted 100%
He would flourish at LSU too.
Of course I hope he stays because I see an All-SEC QB in the kid as his floor.
Everyone could win if JM gets drafted this year. He's suddenly rich and TS is next in line with Sayin and the other young bucks positioning themselves for the 2 spot.Kiffin would get Ty drafted 100%
He would flourish at LSU too.
Of course I hope he stays because I see an All-SEC QB in the kid as his floor.
Well, Taulia exists. Depends on how you define “success” I guess. Starting? Or playing well enough to win titles or an NFL contract?Gotcha, that makes sense. Most QBs that transfer from Bama are never heard from again.
Agreed. I think that early this season, the problem was that Rees was trying to make him into a pocket passer but in doing so took away his best asset, which is his ability to run.I think many, myself included, saw his passing limitations and knew they wouldn't fit with our offense as it was being run at the time. That was what was so frustrating. If they thought Milroe was going to be the guy, they should have made changes much sooner. We are now using his athletic ability, which is great, to make defenses commit to stopping certain run options. This opens up the passing game and makes him look much better. As you stated, he still needs to make some improvements in the passing game, but now the offense matches his abilities much more, and that makes everything much more productive.
Oh yeah, forgot about him.Well, Taulia exists. Depends on how you define “success” I guess. Starting? Or playing well enough to win titles or an NFL contract?
“Little known fact here”…Well, Taulia exists. Depends on how you define “success” I guess. Starting? Or playing well enough to win titles or an NFL contract?
