So someone else close to the program well closer then me mentioned this I overlooked it but now kind of makes sense. To much smoke not to be fire. Anyways I'm sure lank mechadise isn't making any money but I'm also willing to bet former players and certain big money donors have dumped alot of money into lank. Makes since if its just not him getting it that other players are reaping some benefits he is effectively other players boss. Sad never thought about all this wish I didn't even see this thread.

It would have been very easy to do this last year v USF...

Let me throw a hypothetical in here. So we have a NIL collective for players being managed by a current player. And this player wields a significant amount of influence on those players participating in this collective (ok not so hypothetical thus far). So theteam is favored by a certain point spread in a game. And someone associated with gambling interests gets the “ear” of this influencer…..

I think you know where I’m going with this.

If one guy, by way of getting benched, can get a significant number to “underperform” to send a message they are “unhappy”, then what prevents something similar in terms of points spreads, etc?

IMO in no way, shape or form is having current players run a collective a good idea. We already see one result. It can get far, far worse.
