Got the Roll Tide flag fluttering in the breeze (since we've been blessed with nothing but hot heat the only way to generate a 'breeze' is drive!) as I drive along.....magnets adorn the stove and refrigerator @ home and I have a Bama Banner to install this weekend in the yard. Office is stuffed with all kinds of Bama stuff...and if anyone has doubt, I wear Crimson & White everywhere.
This past weekend took a drive with my friend and saw Crimson & White Everywhere! Enjoyed lunch @ a BBQ restaurant that was resplendent with Bama stuff! I laughed all the way...helped beat the heat, for even in a.c. cars, it is H-O-T! Last night I rewatched 1999 Bama vs. Fla game....you tend to forget all the turmoil surrounding that year's team...they were impressive because they said "they just came together as a team and made up their minds they were going to win-their actions on the field were the only thing they had control over-What a great group of guys-A. C. Carter, Marvin Constant, Chris Samuels, Andrew Zow, and Shaun...love to watch him run!.... then 1963 Orange Bowl...one of the highlights was an entire 'review' of 1962 season, commentary by Coach Bryant! Don't know how I had missed this portion before, but I did! Wow! Cotton Clark! Lee Roy Jones! Joe Namath! Benny Nelson! Mike ? Mal Moore! (Player, MM). Plus so many more names who were all familiar, but I can't remember them all. Begs the question. Why were the rules changed to prevent players from playing both offense and defense? Anyone know? Roll Tide!:BigA:
