I have ton's of respect for Coach Bowden but something keeps coming to mind every time that I see FSU play now. Former FSU QB Casey Weldon once made a statement that rings true about FSU's offense in the late nineties after the first MNC.

He said something to the effect, "Offensive playcalling at FSU used to be about trying to win the game, now its about trying NOT TO LOSE!"

I remember in the 80's FSU had a very diverse, aggressive offense. It always had the opposition on their heels. That is dead at FSU. I don't care who the OC is at them moment.

And your right, Coaching does matter. Usually, your team reflects the personality of the coach!

I think FSU will improve a good deal before we get around to playing them. Hopefully, we will improve also. I don't see FSU struggling nearly as much against our defense. I think Clemson is pretty far ahead of us in defensive talent/depth right now. On the flip side, I'd say Clemson has better (proven) running backs than Bama, but Bama has better everything else on offense. Hopefully we can enjoy a little more offensive success against FSU than Clemson.

This should be a good game...

i thought fishers main asset was that he is a very good recruiter. im sure he is above average as an OC but i thought recruiting was his main gig. micky andrews looked like he has had a rough couple of months. football probably hasnt been his top priority lately.
