Tide Baseball begins workouts

With classes beginning Coach Wells welcomed 32 players back this year. Returning are 17 pitchers (4 play other positions), 3 catchers, 8 infielders and 6 outfielders.

The Tide added 2 new signees and 2 transfers, the most notable being Wade LeBlanc who transfered from McNeese St.

LeBlanc is from Lake Charles. He went to Barbe HS.

Like TiI said he is from Lake Charles, La. and is a product of the fine Barbe HS baseball program. LeBlanc was a first team 2003 Baseball America HS All American. He was also the 2003 Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball newspaper High School Co-Pitcher of the Year. As a senior in HS he was 16-1 with an ERA of 0.45. LeBlanc set Barb HS records for single season wins, Single season strike-outs and career wins.
