How is this related to football?

Well, for starters, my wife told me I must really love her to get married on a day when Alabama plays. I told her I still can't remember the score of that game in 1993 (I could look it up, but I'm a little lazy. ;) )

Also, four years ago, on our tenth wedding anniversary, we went to Bryant-Denny to watch Bama play Arkansas in the infamous Shula-led-go-up-by-21-to-only-lose-by-three-in-OT game. We sat there like drowned rats with a one hour delay of the game, see our team go up by 21 on the Hogs, to only lose in OT 34-31.

I almost had that feeling lat Saturday night. But, I remembered who our coach was, and determined...not this time!

Anyway, just wanted to share that with you guys. :)

Congratulations!! In this world of ever increasing empahsis on self, it is nice to see realtionships that people are still working at!

I, too, was married on a football Saturday (in 2002 we played at Vandy-we made sure the wedding was over in time to catch the game on the radio!).

I can't wait to spend an anniversary at Bryant-Denny! And my wife would love it, too, as long as we get a dinner in at The Globe (if it is still around in Northport)!

Again, congratulations, you have something a lot of people wish they had!!

TiM, I hope you've bought her something really nice  :BigA:

Well, I'm having to delay her gift a little until Ocotber. We're going to a bed and breakfast in Natchez for the pilgrimage and a balloon show, with some antique shopping.

We're planning on a cruise to Cozumel for our 15th anniversay next year. I figured I better play it safe and stay away from rainy football games. :bigrin2:

Happy Anniversary TiM, today is my birthday. So here is hoping Bama gives us a win Sat. to celebrate with.

Happy Birthday!

Funny you say that...my sister's birthday is today, also. She was one of the bridesmaids in our wedding, and we had the wedding cake, groom's cake, and her birthday cake at the reception. In other words, we got on a sugar high that day! :)

Congrats - its kinda funny but I'm GETTING MARRIED the 6th - I had pick the Houston game cause I couldnt do it on a big game day :)

Watch out. We're a long way from there, and it's too early to worry about it, but Houston could be dangerous for all the wrong reasons...

Ahhhh, don't worry about it. You go get married,:PDT_ura: we'll worry for you that week.

Congratulations. You dont see it every day anymore. :) I was at that Arky game as well. That sucked so bad. My friend and I got up and went back to the concession areas during the flood. That was a rainstorm. Dont know which side you were on, but we were in the first 20 rows or so up from the field so when we went back to get to our seats we were hopping and stretching trying to miss foot deep lakes between the fence and stands. Little did we know it was very symbolic as we felt like we were standing under a rain cloud the rest of the game. :(

Congratulations, TiM, and may you enjoy many more years together! I kinda smile by the posts.....not to steal your thunder, but my dad and mom have been married 73 years-#74 11/25/07 coming up!:) I'll have to tell her to ask for a B&B out of town!:)
P.S. Note: There are other months in the year to wed....and no FB competition.....March, April, May, June, July, and August! Just a thought!:)

Roll Tide!:BigA:
