In late September I sold a custom-built piece of equipment to a customer, and I was to build that piece of equipment for him. I let him know then that it would take me 30 days to complete the build, and that I would require 1/2 of the total price up front so that I could purchase certain components he required on the item he was purchasing. I would collect the remaining balance upon delivery.
Last week, I called him and told him I was ready to deliver. I delivered the piece of equipment as promised, ON TIME, ON BUDGET, and he was completely satisfied with his purchase. He wrote me a check for the balance due, then smiled at me, shook my hand and told me "
You are a man of your word".
That's the kind of compliment that makes it worth all the other hardships I have to endure.
