Tommy Hunter, is he draft eligible like David Robertson after two years because of when his birthday falls?

What is the rule for draft status. I thought that a D1 ball player had to play three years if enrolled from HS to D1 school, but a juco player could go in the draft at any time.

I am pretty sure he is draft elig....:mad2:
It has to do with your date of birth... having to be 21 within 45 days of the draft... he will be 21 in July and the draft is in June

A D1 player has to play 3 years or be 21 years old. David Robertson turned 21 before the draft last year, so that is why he was eligible.

Hunter is draft-eligible. There were something like 18 scouts at the game Saturday, and they weren't there to see anyone from Canisius

I understand these kids need to do whats best for them and their family, but it gets real old having to restock our rotation every year.

yea it is. its so hard to keep up with college baseball cuz the roster is almost completely different every year
