Spring practice cranks up in a couple of days. thought we needed a thread. Anything we want to see out of the spring? I would like to see the WR Group take a step forward. Also, would love to see improvement along the Oline, but I think that will happen.

Wanna see the defense come out on fire playing like they did the latter part of the past two seasons.

Positions I'm most interested in.

1. WRs - my bet right now is that it will be Brooks, Burton and Earle with Holden being the 4th guy but I would love to see Hall or one of the freshman make it so they are impossible to keep off the field.

2. OL - easily the biggest concern for this team

3. ILB - who starts with HTT. I assume Moody has a good shot but I know a lot of people are high on Lawson

4. CB - who starts opposite Ricks. Kool-Aid is probably most likely but he really struggled at times so it may not be a sure thing.

5. RB - we have 50 RBs so it will be interesting how the snap split works out Edit: and as Tide Engineer said who is healthy enough to play and who isn't

4. Wide receivers
If the o-line is not better than last year, this team will not win it all. And I believe at least one of the freshman wide receivers will end up getting major playing time.

" who is healthy enough to play and who isn`t. " At RB, lately that seems like it would reduce that number from 50 down to about.........2.

This, we have heard before.
Maybe but we ended the year playing pretty well on D and are returning the most important pieces plus adding Ricks. Moody is at worst a serviceable ILB to replace Harris.

The only real questions is do we have a DL who can be disruptive and who is the 2nd CB/how good are they.

We're arguably very good to elite at Edge, S, CB1, and Star

I believe that Deontae Lawson could beat out Jaylen Moody...am looking forward to seeing if his speed can put him on the field.

Sure which would only mean our defense will be even better. I'm just saying worst case scenario at ILB (outside of injury) is Moody being a solid starter

Our defense played wonderfully against Georgia for most of the game. That said, our defensive backfield was mediocre at best before the injuries. In fact, the back 7 we had on the field for the past two years has not shown they can guard without interfering.

We need a down lineman who can pass rush. At least two inside linebackers to emerge, and we need some consistent sign from the DBs that they can tackle and play pass defense.

I agree: there is generational talent in some areas. Huge question marks in others. Put me down as "Show me."
