One of my older brothers went to UA at 5'3" and grew to 5'7" his freshman year and put on 30 lb. Of course, he was only 16. :) One of my SILs had an even more dramatic spurt in her freshman year at OM...
When I joined the Army at 18, I was 5’5” and 120 lbs. Eleven weeks later I was 5’8” and weighed 145. By the time I left the Army 2 and 1/2 years later, I was 5’10” and 165.

No one else played defense at USC. Not sure you can hold that against him.
I hope Domani becomes great, of course. He has all the measurables and sprinter speed. Just saying that some folks put way more focus on HS ranking than actual production in a high level cfb conference.

We could definitely use Muhammad and I don’t believe Coach didn’t try hard to get him. . Most Our DBs are young and untested , while this guy is a proven quality corner.
First team All PAC 12 means more right now than 5 stars in HS. And Domani Jackson, who is being touted for his HS rating, was by no means a star at USC in his first two years. Has never had an interception, sack, or fumble recovery.
That said…I have faith CKD will have us ready to compete for a Playoff berth when the season starts.
To be fair to Domani Jackson, look at the (nonexistent) USC defense the two years he was there. One guy can’t do it alone.

If there will be changes to this year transfer window, I think it'll be in fall announcing changes once again related to transfer windows.

DI Council approves changes to notification-of-transfer windows - NCAA.org I don't know how they can fix the window period, but I'm going to assume that it'll limit the window transfer period for players under coach who leaves for another job. I'm guessing maybe, cut it down from 30 days to 15 days or limit to smaller window such as April or December to transfer and make it a blanket transfer rule.. instead of having an "exception"

What does changing the length of the window do? If you look at the guys that left they all did it in about a week to 10 days. Aa I said when Saban left there was a short window for guys to leave and withdraw from the school and get registered at other school for the spring semester that is why you saw the flurry we did at Alabama, Washington, Arizona, and San Jose St. I do think they will open it for a set period amount no matter if your season ends in December or on January 8th. You have lot of issues because school start and stop at all different times a few weeks apart and that not really an NCAA athletic thing more a University. I know one school that started spring semester on the 8th and then saw another one that didn’t go back til the 23rd. You then have to follow the federal law on 10% drop add date for student registration. There is a lot of outside factors that are more then athletics that are not going to be changed.

Funny how when CNS started back in 2007 everything was about how Saban was “processing”’ players out of the program with his roster management. He was grinding them up.
Now you have Sanders at Colorado, Kiffin at Ole Miss among others turning over half of the roster (or more) each year. And we know it isn’t all about players wanting to test their NIL value in the portal. Many are encouraged to do so by the staff now as simple “roster management”.

I guess evil Nick Saban was just ahead of his time.

I was in the military from 1987 through 1998. During that time they measured me from a range of 5’11” to 6’4” (I’m actually 6’2”). I would n’t count those military heights at very accurate. My wight ranged. From 135 (when I came home from desert storm) to 245 (these weights were unfortunately accurate) .

I am not so sure that first team ALL PAC 12 means more than 5* HS (https://pac-12.com/article/2023/12/...e-awards-presented-nextiva-and-all-conference)
Khyree Jackson was first team ALL PAC 12 last year, and Muhammad was 2nd team.
Khyree Jackson was pretty bad when he was playing for Alabama.

Those were my measurements, not the Army’s.

Any players hitting the Portal in the spring weren't good enough to crack their team's playing rotation.

Let that sink in...
Perhaps.

But remember that JaMo was buried on the depth chart at OSU and once he got to Bama he was a beast.

I don't recall when he transferred, but clearly OSU didn't know what they had in him.

Sometimes one staff can completely undervalue/underestimate players they have on campus.
